I dont often give 1 star reviews, but this one is well deserved. On a recent trip to Regal Cinemas Massillon 12 "Great Escape", my wife and I purchased tickets to see a movie on a busy weekend evening. The theater we were in was pretty packed, but there were a couple seats at the top and at the very bottom. We chose to go to the top and watched the trailers. As the movie was coming on a couple came into the theater and said we were in their seats. Confused by this, we had a brief discussion with them and were told there is assigned seating. Since this isnt an airplane we had a hard time wrapping our heads around this. We purchased our tickets and were here long before you, so how is it possible that were not exactly where we should be, in seats that were open when we arrived? The couple walked out, and moments later an usher came in and told us that we were assigned to the "neck breaker" seats at the very front of the theater, and that we would have to move to our seats or leave the showing and be refunded. Its not often that we have the time to make it out to the movies, and this was utterly mind blowing, that 1.) There is now assigned seating, so you get to be told where and how to enjoy your entertainment. 2.) You can show up late, or maybe not at all, and those that were prepared enough to be on time are inconvenienced. 3.) The theater doesnt have readily available, repeated notifications, about restrictions on seating in their theaters. In the end, we chose to leave the theater and were refunded the ticket price, but not the $7 for the small popcorn that we hadnt touched. Additionally, the looks, side chatter, and scoffs from the majority of the staff, while we were being refunded was absurd. This is quite possibly one of the worst and I mean deplorable customer service experiences weve ever experienced, and it would be wise of you to stay far away from this theater. You have Cinemark Tinseltown in North Canton and Regal Cinemas Interstate Park 18 in Green, both of which are leaps and bounds better, both in quality and service. Chose better for yourself. We will in the future. This place gets a big red X on the Nope List.

This is the place to see a movie. It is not next to a mall, but near downtown Massillon. There is plenty of parking and the prices are a bit lower than many. You do not feel packed in like most other places. I would rather drive 10 miles out of my way to go here than the Canton places because of this. Also, they are more relaxed with you. No one is going to take away your coffee at the door. They will tell people to get off their phones and/or tell them to be quiet, but they are not "nazis" about it like some other nearby theaters (cough cough Tinseltown Cough). The people talking about rude people working there: First, you are not allowed to drop off your kid for an R rated movie. I tried before and they said I had to stay. They were not rude, but then again I am not a parent that thinks their kids is "special" like some below. Second, shoving your AARP card in the face of a 16 year old kid will not make it any faster. He was new and you treated him like trash for a $1 off your popcorn. The people are much nicer than they have to be. In fact, I am surprised that they are as nice as they are for minimum wage having to deal with asshats like privileged soccer moms and people demanding their AARP discounts. Keep on doing what youre doing Massillon Regal!.

Pretty bummed. Havent gotten out much this summer to do family stuff, as Im 8 moths pregnant and have a herniated back. Heard that the theater closest to our house upgraded their seats, so wewe purchased tickets online and headed out. We decided to go to dinner and catch a movie. We arrived a little over an hour early, after we dined locally. Both token machines in the gaming area are down. One says out of order and the other has the service light on. Now, we have to sit here for over an hour and wait. How uncomfortable for this pregnant mama. You would think you could purchase tokens from concessions if this happened. Only a few games take dollar bills, and none that we wanted to play. Totally bummed.

The new seats are nice but I dont like that there are fewer seats so they are reserved. We went with a group of kids on opening weekend of Finding Dory and ended up having to sit all the way in the front because there werent enough seats together anywhere else. We even got there half an hour early but because the seats were reserved in advance, we couldnt sit anywhere else. Honestly, if I ever go to the movies with a group again, well spend the extra money and go to Tinseltown in Canton where we can pick our own seating arrangements.

It is a very clean establishment the best seats of any movie theater ever as they have individualized electrical recliners fair pricing and discounts for seniors 55 and older highly recommend it to anyone much more enjoyable movie theater then Tinseltown at the strip. I had total left knee replacement surgery 2 months ago this was a very easy theater for me to get around in and the added comfort of a reclining seat to prop my leg up and recline back made it a much more enjoyable experience cudos2u Regal Theater of Massillon Ohio

New seats are great! Not a bad seat in the house. Only drawback is that the theater was almost deserted, but they insisted on seating everyone together one area. We were seated right next to a couple who coughed and blew their noses all through the movie. I asked if we could choose our own seating, and was told, "No. It is reserved seating only". I dont understand the reasoning, when there were so many unused seats, during a week day.

The new seats were great, however, i was not aware of the extreme price increase for tickets. Almost $20 for one adult and one child for a matinee...thats ridiculous. My son and I were also SUPER disappointed to find that BOTH token machines were out of order as well as the air hockey table leaving NOTHING to do while we waited for our movie to start. I got a "rewards" card today but dont think ill be going back.

Superb evening out at this theater with family...I highly recommend Regal Massillon. Staff/employees were exceptionally helpful & friendly; entire facility was spotless. The new reclining seats made "going to the movies" a much more enjoyable experience. All quality from this visit (*and honestly, when paying $10 a ticket and $10 for soda + popcorn, I feel I got my moneys worth...and thats saying something!).

This theater is wonderful! The new seats are amazing, and would have been so nice and comfortable for me while I was pregnant. The concessions are pretty pricey, but most theaters are that way. They also have reserved seating so I can purchase my tickets on the Fandango app and get the good seats without having to go to the theater very early! This is my favorite theater I have ever been to.
