The website made me give one star... so theres that. This place really needs to focus on hiring some decent, professional and less ignorant employees. Ms Anna in the office, accounts payable etc... she earned this review on behalf of Cowabunga Bay. My daughter worked here all summer and their last payday was on 9/9/16. Why is it that my daughter, 17yrs old mind you, a CHILD still... has NOT received her paycheck for 37 hours of worked, EARNED wages. Due to my profession, and straight up common sense, I find it a bit hard to imagine that a large company like this would dare to toy with the idea of witholding someones earned wages. If my daughter had QUIT or was FIRED she still even then, would be entitled to have her last pay check issued within 48hrs. Funny enough, she didnt quit or get fired. She worked the entire season and on the LAST DAY could not come in bc I made her stay home due to a family emergency. Cowabunga Bay is that hard up for cash that they wont pay her?? I had quite the conversation with Anna just now, and she made some great choice statments in reference to my inquiry as to why my child hasnt received her check. A few of which were "its not my problem" "we were out of town dealing with more important business matters than your daughters check" "I dont care if this effects anyone" " I dont know what you want me to do about it" etc... I asked Anna to let me speak to someone else, she refused. I asked her to verify the address that she would be mailing my daughters check to , she refused. I asked her to give me the issue date of the check, she refused. After I asked her if she seriously was behaving with such audacity towards an issue that is important, and is standard business procedure, (mind you I was not cussing at her, although I wanted to more than you know) she finished off her unprofessional conversation with me by hanging up on me, and not answering when I called back. I have absolutely NO ISSUE with moving forward and pursuing this legally; on behalf of my 17 yr old MINOR who is clearly unaware of her rights and being mistreated. Meanwhile, I will not be quiet about this issue and will present it every chance I get, in every way that is out there. Via reviews, social media etc. Never have I dealt with such an inconsiderate and uneducated person as I did today. 17 days after payday no one has bothered to issue payment.... BIG mistake. Bad, Bad business move. " The check is in the mail..." Yeah, Right. Sincerely, one PISSED OFF MOM!!!

Cowabunga Bay is basically located in a parking lot, nothing too fancy. It is near the side of the freeway and you can see it while driving by. Its pretty hard to miss. It has colorful waterslides and fun little decorations around the area. The place looks very cute and "picture worthy". My boyfriend and I went on a Tuesday for the 2 for $22.22 deal. We got our locker and wristbands and went into the water park. We got changed and put our items into our locker. The lockers are wristband activated, so dont lose them. We didnt know which one to go to first, so I pulled him to one of the slides I enjoyed back in 5th grade. I like the fully covered circular slides best because they go fast and they get completely dark. We went on every waterslide, even the non-covered ones, and didnt know what to do next, so we decided to try out the lazy river and just relax for a bit. There were tubes floating around the lazy river for your use. You dont have to pay for a tube, just try to find an empty one. There wasnt much to do other than the lazy river, sitting in the water, and going down the waterslides. When I came here in 5th grade with my friends, this became my favorite waterpark immediately. The park looked a whole lot bigger when I was smaller, so I was anticipating a little too much when I came back for a second time. There werent as many slides as I remembered and the slides were not as "fast and furious" as I thought. I believe this park is more for little children than for teens or adults. I saw a lot of parents, mostly mothers, sitting by the side of the water, while their children were occupied by the slides or the lazy river. This waterpark looked more like a place for a parent to get some relaxation while the child played or just like a place for some fun family activity. I suggest to bring little children to this waterpark rather than adults or teens because you will get bored faster than the children will because there really is not much to do at Cowabunga Bay. The slides are fun for a while, but there isnt enough variety to keep people interested.

This place sucks. Its dangerous concrete around the lazy river and other places is slippery and I saw many people fall and get hurt. But the worst thing was my good friend slipped and fell broke her wrist had to get surgery has been going through hell and the staff at Cowabunga Bay didnt even report it to the owners. They didnt even turn in a report. They said that they would pay the hospital bills and take care of everything and they did not do anything about it. In fact the staff is very nonchalant when I was speaking to them about the seriousness of her injury and how it needed to be taken care of by them they didnt even offer to get her an ambulance ride to the hospital. Thank God theres one right next door which her sister drove her to so she could get pins put in her wrist and it charged her insurance thousands of dollars she missed work she couldnt even dress herself. Then she finds out Cowabunga Bay didnt even bother 2 report it. It is a bunch of bullshit. They do not know how to run a company or take care of their patrons they should be shut down permanently!! its a freaking death trap. And they are staffed by a bunch of idiots.

I took my 5 yr old girl and 4 yr old boy for the "4 hrs of play" pass on Sat Aug 7th and we had a fantastic day! the pool is shallow and great for toddlers and kids that cant swim. the park is confined and it makes it easy to keep track of the family. The water feature is sooo much fun for little kids up to age 10-12. The concessions are reasonably prices, they even have little amenities like family dressing rooms with changing tables and showers. The life guards allow you to sit your younger children on your lap on the bigger waterslides and the attention to detail in making this a very family friendly water park made this a fantastic place to spend our saturday. im sure we will be season ticket holders next year. Plenty of free tubes in teh lazy river, plenty of chairs and shades. its clear this was designed to be a functional place for families with younger kids and not a "throw your wallet in the middle of the road and just let anyone take what they want from it" park which every place else catering to young families is--are you listening chucky cheeze?--

Sometimes you dont want to take your whole day at a huge water park, especially if you have young kids. I have four kids ranging in age from 2-10. We went with cousins of a similar age and we all had a great time. The park is small, which makes it nice for keeping track of kids. There is a good amount of shade. I liked that the pool wasnt too deep and we thought the lazy river was great! The facilities were clean and everything was in good repair (as opposed to Seven Peaks and Raging Waters). Of course Cowabunga Bay has the advantage of being brand new. As far as not being able to go in the parking lot to eat your lunch, that sounds crazy and would make me upset as well. But I was surprised at how reasonably priced the concessions were. $2.99 for a piece of pizza and cheap for ice cream and french fries. Usually water parks gouge you on food. The only reason I didnt give five stars is because admission costs a little too much.
