I have been going to here for 8 years i never had no problems until two months ago my ex friend was out side so she was not inside when a lady who has been bugging me for six months i did real good i didnt cruse her or threaten her i just wanted to know why she keeps disrespecting me .she came. And choke me then thats when my ex friend came in and lied to the owner my friends that i was bugging them and her that night i ask everyone who she thought i was bugging they said i wasnt and they are upset because i was thrown for no reason and they said my ex friend should have not brought them up to the owner .they heard and seen this lady bugging me i found she was not thrown out i very hurt because the owner listen to this person just because her fake husband sings there im not bad person if i do something wrong i stand up and day sorry.im not a bad or evil.i never been thrown out no other places just here because of a lie from exfriend who i stop being friend with two months before this

Heads up! Cover charge on the weekends and it is worth every penny. Ive only ever had wings here and have never been disappointed, I really come here to drink and dance to all the hits of days past. The staff is always upbeat, helpful and I have never had to ask for another shot in my cocktail, it can get crowded during the weekends but not any worse than the rest of Westport, one thing for sure is big band night is amazing! We always come with a good size group so it is easier to stake out out own section downstairs and we always have a great time. I always have and always will recommend this spot for weekend nights you just wanna let your hair down and maybe do a little dancing.

The Levee is a great neighborhood bar, and convenient to walk to if you live on or near the plaza or Westport area. Their patio/s are ideal to hang out on all year round whether youre a smoker or not. I go in there with friends at least once a week. The only thing thats frustrating is having to pay a band cover charge (usually $5) when youre not even there to watch the band. They have a good "bar food" menu and are usually quick getting you drinks, but not always great checking on you for new drinks or taking orders for you on the patio, but its usually just one guy or gal managing the whole upstairs...so its not that big of a deal to walk inside to the bar.

I moved to Kansas City from the Dominican Republic in 2009. a few weeks after I got here I found this place and since my first visit until now still my favorite place to hang out, listen to live music or just just come to the upstairs bar ans watch any sport event. The people that work here, The different bands they have and the people that hang out at this place are fantastic!!! Super fun, Super nice. I love it!!!

Enjoyed the bands, but when i went to check out they charged me for 5 drinks when i only recieved too. Im well aware of people putting drinks on everyones ticket, but when i brought it to my attention they ignored me until I finally got a hold of one in which his reply was "that sucks." yeah it sucks so much that I will NEVER come back and wont bring my friends...

The Levee was the place my St Joe local friends brought there UK out-of-town guests and it lives up to its name for a great experience.Great place to see a band, good beers on tap, people that hang out at this place were fantastic!!! Great fun had by a bunch of Geordie lads, we sang along and loved it!!!

Food took very very long to receive and there was only two other people there. When my burger arrived it was just flat out not good. Fries were alright. Bartender was nice. I would not recommend to go there to grab a beer and food after work or something, you can find much better food for same price.

Great Lunches, great food - owners are humble and nice. The place is always rocking. The staff is super helpful and friendly, and almost over attentive. Great place for late night dancing with great music. Cool outside deck. Fun place to just cruise with a beer and take in the scenes.

Total dive bar. I was not impressed at all. Place smelled nasty and everything was sticky. There was nobody else in there but my wife and my brother and l. The ice in my drink tasted funny and smelled funny. There was a nasty rotten smell coming from behind the bar.

We went late for drinks and were excited to see a band was setting up. The drinks were affordable, the band was great ($5 cover), and the music wasnt so loud that you couldnt talk to each other. Great fun dancing to a live cover band.

Been coming here for decades, since Tommy Ruskin jam and Sonny Kenner Band on weekends. Looks pretty much the same, without the picture of Woody Allen behind the stage and less jazz. Service was all right for a late night drink.

The Levee has a very nice atmosphere and the band is AMAZING! Its been the best band Ive heard....ever. I didnt plan on staying long, but what the Levee has to offer, changed my mind!

The staff was friendly and fast and the food was warm and good. Definitely recommend going on a night when Xparte is there but only if you like good music and like to dance.

Wtf? I guess not a popular happy hour place. Walked in a little after 4 and the place was abandoned (smelled a bit like a porta potty too). Yeesh!

Sort of a dive bar. Can get very crowded on a big band night, though room can be found upstairs if you want to skip the band. Staff is fun too.
