Getting away from the hustle and bustle of bros bimbos in power and light is a must for anyone visiting Kc. Westport is where the true bar scene of Kansas City is. Tucked away in one of the many historic brick buildings is a true gem of this ol cow town. Its hard to find a bar in Kansas City with the feel of the Westport Saloon. The combination of a rockabilly, western, and folky feel really set the Saloon apart from all the rest. Live local music everyday of the week is hard to come by in any city and we are so very fortunate to have an establishment that facilitates just that. Thats all well and good but add the outstanding food and youve got your new favorite hangout. -best hush puppies in Kc -fantastic fried chicken -blackened chicken mac and cheese that will blow your mind

Best live music spot in kc. Cozy stage, pro sound guys, and more musical talent than a person will know what to do with. One of the only bars in westport that has a pulse. they arent trying to empty your wallet and turn you out. You can come here and have way too good of a time and not break the damn bank in the process. They managed to dodge the oh so familiar fabricated feel most bars in the area have. Its completely gimmick free with a truly amazing staff and an owner who has the biggest damn heart around. plus you dont gotta go searching for food. Theyll get ya set up in house with food so good it should be criminal. So head in, pull up a seat close to the stage, get a shot with a brew, and see for yourself.

This is the best place to go in KC area! It has its own eclectic mix of music, ambiance, and people! Very comfortable, fun, and packed full of entertainment. You will be hard-pressed to find an establishment better than this. Great people, great music, great staff...I just cannot say enough about all the positive attributes that it brings to KC. By far my favorite!!

Something cool and different. They bring in great musicians, and serve great food. My only suggestion would be to add a juke box customers can use - but only during slow times. We like to go sit in there and have a few beers while the bar isnt busy, and it would be great to be able to play some red dirt, classic outlaw, and roots music while we are just hanging out.

Hands down the best bar in Westport. Not all fratty hipster. Guessing because the music and culture is not readily accessible for fratastic d-bags. They dont pay people to loop electronic trash all night. They work with talented musicians to provide a genuinely unique experience that is fun and inspiring. Great environment, staff, culture, food, and booze!

Its one of those bars you walk in and immediately feel welcome. Friendly staff, great whiskey drinks and for beer fans lots to choose from at a reasonable price. Youll always find great live music every night from local to national acts. You never plan to close the place down at 3am, but dont worry itll happen.

A great place for food and drinks. Best happy hour in Westport or Kansas City (youre welcome) Blues bands from across the country perform here regularly. The staff kicks ass. (I dont work here, Ive actually had friends cut off here before and I stayed because I like this bar more than I do them)

I love coming here. The staff is wonderful and knows a lot about the massive whiskey selection. Its a great get away with an awesome (usually live) soundtrack that really sets the over all atmosphere and really gets you in the mood for good whiskey and great food from Eat Me.

The Buffalo Chicken Mac N Cheese is a pretty perfect combination but the rest of my experience was average at best. The smothered fries were definitely not to my liking (I actually sent them back). But all in all a good little spot for a beer or 2.

Absolutely the premiere gay bar in Westport. A must-see for any member of the LGBTQ community(they often refer to the space as "The Westport Salon"). Great drinks that are reasonably priced.
