This is a great concert venue! It is easy to locate (its actually in a strip mall) and there is ample, well-lit parking. Being in the strip mall is great because theres a Half Price Books where I was able to browse before the show started. The venue is nice because it actually has a little seating and someone who knows what theyre doing set up the stage and sound system. Ive been to two concerts here and both have sounded amazing. The drinks are good and reasonably priced and the service is good. Ive only had french fries here, but they were good as well. The restrooms are the only drawback as they are small and not really adequate when its a large concert. However, that is a minor flaw in an otherwise terrific venue. I highly recommend it!

The only reason we went to this bar was for a pub crawl we were there before 5 like we were supposed to the bouncer took it upon himself to decide that even though his watch said it was before 5 we were still to late he continued to be a total d bag to us and wouldnt let us in to use the bathroom. We finally got through to a manager who didnt event know what was going on and let us in.

I went to see the geezer band The Pedaljets when they played their reunion show a few years back and I swear someone slipped something in my drink when I wasnt looking!! Oh yeah and the staff is rude and cant make change to save their lives. Sorry Im not heavily tattooed and dont wear Kenyan tribesman ear altering jewelry------But I am a paying customer.

Bar none, the best sounding room to hear live music (or perform it) in Kansas City. Great food, particularly the pizzas. Appetite for Destruction is my favorite, but you can have them build to order or select from their re-purposed album menus. Friendly staff that are always fun to talk to and great management, booking and music. I love this place!

I am so happy they found a nice space to re-open in! Parking is nowhere near as easy or convenient as the old building, but it definitely seems roomier inside. I love the upstairs bar area, its nice to be able to sit and watch the happenings on the main floor. The person at the door the night we went was very polite to us, as was our bartender.

Awesome food. Better than bar food. gourmet bar food. Always a fun place to eat. As far as music goes, this has become the number 1 new music venue since the hay days of the hurricane and shadow. There is only a few other bars in the KC area that even come close (there are a few though). As far as food at bars go, this is in a class of its own.

Full bar with chill staff, semi intimate atmosphere for live music. You can get close enough to the artists to see whats happening on stage, but also has seating with tables towards back and upstairs. Like the Corralled smoking patio which means I didnt have to leave drinks unattended to step outside.

Great live music venue! Different bands, genres of music, but always something going on. A Kansas City music icon that recently moved from its Westport location to the Crossroads. Several nearby bars and restaurants as well make it a good spot among several stops during a night out.

I ate here during a company Christmas party. The staff were very polite and the bar was clean. I absolutely love the pizza! I really enjoyed watching various bands preform while I ate. The bar has a very friendly and warm atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place!

Not the same as the old place but still a decent place to see a small show. Just wish they would adapt the sound to the crowd. No reason to blow out our eardrums when theres only 20 people in the place. And hoping they get a kitchen again sometime soon.

Wonderful atmosphere and beer selection. We went to see a show, it was a great venue for people that are interested in actually listening to the music. The food was very good and they had a unique selection. I cant wait to go back and try something new!

Different feel than the old location in Westport. Not a great beer selection but reasonable cocktail prices and friendly staff make this a place I will return to. A more open feeling that is less intimate than some concert spots of comparable size.

Wonderful food and an amazing spot to hear live music. Its a positive force for KC as the recordBar makes an effort to be connected to the community, from showing the LCPA high school jazz band perform to constantly supporting local artists.

The food was good, and one of the bartenders (Adam), was super awesome. This is what keeps this place from getting a one star rating from me. I would highly recommend to all traveling shows to seek a venue elsewhere in KC.

The bartenders were unattentive and rude, we were told to leave after paying a five dollar cover an hour before because a DJ was coming in. He also messed up the bill and tried to charge for 2 more drinks than I ordered.

Awesome friendly staff and the venue is just as welcoming. Fun place to watch live music and the Hawaiian pizza is fantastic. Parking in this area can be difficult and is definitely the worst part of the experience.

Came for the live music & was surprised by the great food as well. The first Sunday of almost every month, a great avant-garde jazz band called The Peoples Liberation Big Band of Greater Kansas City plays here.

I saw Shes a Keeper and The Elders here; it was a blast. It seems that the best and most fun people come here. I havent had the food yet, so I cant comment on that, but I loved it and hope to return.

Really fun place for live music! I saw Civil Twilight here on 8-9-15. Its really small but not over crowded and packs big sound. Very laid back vibe. Great variety at the bar. Cant wait to go back!

Great new venue, clean space, clean restrooms, plenty of room to stand, can sit at regular tables or tall ones, or the balcony. I didnt try the food. Sorry. GREAT bands the night we attended!
