Never attending an event here again. This place is a fire hazard! If seated in any of the rising sections you have to climb a ton of stairs to get out of the building. Oh and then back down stairs. No elevator available and the escalator at a standstill. I attended the James Taylor concert and waited 45 minutes for a bathroom. Even men were lined up down the hall for a restroom. There is a railing preventing people from going to the main floor to get out the doors. Imagine this sold out concert with average age of over 50 and they all have to go up tons of stairs to get out if there were a fire .

Monstrous complex of interconnected ugly buildings, not at pedestrian scale, which serve no other purpose quite so well as dividing one part of downtown from the other, making foot traffic veer off course for blocks around to get where youre going. Skywalk between City Center Motel and Hickory Street entrance isnt always open, and staffers can be extremely rude to local folks going back and forth during events.

Great arena and yes, they do serve alcohol at Mavericks games.
