We made a reservation on a Friday morning for two groups. One a threesome and one a foursome. They messed up the reservation and ended up combining all seven of us into one tee time?!? We obliged to get going and divided the groups to keep our pace up. We were doing a mini-scramble/playing best ball to be sure we didnt hold any groups behind us. Despite this, the course ranger couldnt have been more rude. Between our two smaller groups, we both shot even and in theory, couldnt have gone any faster without shooting an eagle on every hole. Through the first nine, the we kept running into the group ahead of us. It wasnt a big deal and it didnt really bother us too much (it happens when golfing). At times though, the ranger asked us to tee off with the group ahead of us only 150yds down the fairway and pretty much hit right into them. We tried to give them a little bit more room, and then teed off as demanded by the ranger. The group ahead of us didnt seem very pleased. After the first 9, we got to 10 and got a tongue lashing from the course ranger yet again. At that time, the harassment was pretty ridiculous and so unfounded that our group decided to call it quits before it really ruined our day. We didnt attempt to continue a pointless argument with the general manager in the club house to get our money back. I would be completely understanding had we been a group of inexperienced golfers or abunch of kids just looking to wreck a golf cart, but with us being crammed into one tee-time (unlike our reservation) and playing best ball I dont think we could have done much more to accommodate the course and the extremely rude staff. All said and done, I have read the course plays slow and Ive realized that with the tee time intervals so short, its obvious this course is just looking to get as many golfers onto the course as possible and the only way to keep the players going (and hitting into one another) is to accompany that approach with rude course rangers. All in all, Im happy that the round was only $40. I would have had a much harder time giving up half of a paid round of golf had it been a respectable course and a much more costly round of golf. This a great example of getting what you pay for. This experience makes me feel that those $80-125/round courses are worth it. I would recommend trying a different place before you head to this course. The rude staff and slow rounds of golf dont make the cheap round worth it.

Mike was very helpful in setting up a small golf outing for the company I work at. Only issue I had with staff were the rude younger staff members. No sense of customer service, when I first arrived to pay for outing I ask a female worker if I could speak with Mike. I was there to pay for the outing and make sure accommodations were ready for that Sunday. She promptly and rudely says "Hes Busy!". I kind of stand there for about 15 seconds, finally I ask "Well is there any way you can get a hold of him, Hes busy is not very helpful.". But once I talked to Mike he made the experience much better, he was very helpful and was excited to talk about the golf course. The rangers didnt give anyone in our group a hard time. The course was very nice link style and very well maintained. The porta johns were a little scarce on the out, but that was the only gripe I heard from my group. Would play here again.

I can not remember the last time I wrote a review, but I feel that I need to share this with other golfers so they can avoid the absolutely miserable time that I experienced last Saturday. It took 5 hours and 45 minutes to play a round of golf. they overbooked the course and were letting walk ons in between. No ranger on the course at all. When I asked some one if there was a ranger, their response was. (well were short handed today). No attempt to do anything about it. There are no ball washers on the course or on the carts., so bring your own water. No one at the snack bar to get a hot dog ( which is all they had) and one cart girl on the course. Needless to say this was our first and last time we will ever visit this course.

Made a tee time for 1:06pm called in 15 minutes prior, acknowledging that we would be 5 minutes late. Starters were unaware that we called in. Had to wait 10 mins and we were ridiculed for not being on time from the starters. Then during the round the starter would not even waive back to us. My friend also got a cut on the 17th hole and when he went to the clubhouse they said they had no band-aids. They ran out of bottled water on the 9th whole and all the water coolers on the course were empty. It was 85 degrees out. Went in and tried to talk to the manager but did they did not acknowledge my complaint at the end of 18. However, bag drop crew was very nice. Course is very well maintained. Great course but fairly tough. -g

We usually like to go to Blackheath because of the link style type course layout and the price is always fair. But the last time we were there which was June of 2013, the ranger was extremely rude. The first player hit a ball out of bounds and was hitting a provisional when the ranger came running up to the tee box and began swearing asking us "what the f**k we are doing?" So needless to say, everyone wasnt very happy. We arent bad golfers and were playing as the rules state. Unfortunately other reviews have seemed to point the rude ranger, who seemed to have an accent. We will never be back and will choose to play anywhere else than Black heath!!!

This is not a nice place. Its cheap but the lack of amenities and awful conditions of the existing ones outweigh the cost benefits IMO. The carts are in terrible condition and poorly maintained. There is very little in the way of food at the turn, old hot dog or chips take your pick. The clubhouse is sad and it stunk. They park the carts in the dining area overnight. The wooden steps and features around the course are ALL slippery with fungus and rotten. Greens and layout are very gimmicky. I expect this course to be closed for housing development in the next few years. I wouldnt go back and dont expect you to either.

Awesome link style golf course and driving range. Prices are always low and the course is always very well maintained. The downside to the style of golf course is that you always feel like your shooting towards someone and theyre hitting towards you however its nice when you shank a ball you can just walk over to the other fairway its on and play it from there. One of the better maintained courses in the area. The rangers are all mostly dick heads but you dont see them after the first hole 95% of the time so no big deal.
