Overall terrible experience, see below for details. I was looking to play 18 w/ cart at 3pm on a Tuesday. Several courses told me they had leagues, Rouge Park GC made no mention of their leagues until I had teed off on 1 when a rude ranger came from behind and told us to hurry up. AFTER OUR FIRST SHOT OF THE DAY HE TOLD US TO HURRY UP. Course conditions match the price you pay but I would highly suggest avoiding bc the golf staff is either clueless or doesnt care. By the time we made the turn they shotgunned leagues on the front and back. It was impossible to play so we walked off without playing the second nine. Person in clubhouse refused to refund our money for nine but instead wrote (9 hole raincheck) on the back of our receipt. Then told us we had to come back on a Saturday or Sunday when they were working. Overall terrible experience, I likely will not return to see if our "raincheck" will work.

Rouge Park Golf Course is a diamond in the rough! There are a couple challenging par 5s and par 3s that are lots of fun. The course has lots of mature trees and the the fairways and greens are in nice shape overall. Ive met some fun people there and the staff is very helpful. Two holes play along the road where you can see, right in your face, the economic decay that has the city of Detroit at its mercy. On the rest of the holes you are on a little oasis of serenity. Rouge is on top of my list when $ is a factor.

Weve been playing this course on a fairly regular basis, and have enjoyed both the course and staff. This past Saturday we were behind a foursome that had the entire course backed up (we had a 6:45 am tee-time) and despite several holes being open in front of them, the course ranger did nothing to resolve our concerns. There were people behind us that started skipping holes to get in front of this group, and thats sad as the ranger should take whatever steps are necessary to keep play moving..

The course is pretty nice but they could do better everyone is great players there and they also have great programs that can assist golfers i believe that rouge is an excellent course we have hole 11 one the toughest holes to play dog leg right it seem hard but not to me . i like the course

Excellent course! Lots of natural obstacles and a clever layout. The course is bustling with wildlife. Theres creek running through most every hole creating the need for lots of enjoyable bridge crossings. Its a little oasis in a rough area. We definitely will be back.

Do yourself a favor and play somewhere else. Greens are like putting on carpet. Staff is very clueless when it comes to booking tee times. 12 people on hole 1 and 10 at the same time. Had to leave after waiting 40 minutes on Hole 10 to tee off. Place is a joke.

Absolutely love this course. The greens are in unbelievable shape. You feel like you are up north when you are playing this course. You are surrounded by the trees and the rouge river throughout the whole course.

Im done giving them my business. Went to the range and they had no balls!! When they do have balls they have cuts in them. This play sucks!!!!

Great Donald Ross layout within Detroit city limits. Well worth the commute from the western and southwestern suburbs.
