Rust Belt Market Rust Belt Market is like going to Renegade Craft Fair every weekend. I met a lot of great artists whose work is truly rooted in Detroit /Michigans rich industrial and cultural legacy. Craig snagged a beautiful #DoctorWho logo made of plasma cut steel; the same artist had a mix of auto brands and DC and Star Wars geek art. I got to meet Josh McClary of McClary Bros, whose Michigan Apple and Basil shrubs are amazing and produced locally by a nonprofit. Artist Aaron Millers photographic collages on skateboards and canvas included a scene of four boys, three wearing iconic Star Wars helmets and one lone Trekkie. Cyberoptix features a selection of 300 silkscreened ties and bowties; my favorite was the vegan tiepin on a bacon tie. And finally I was enamored by Motor City Bricks Detroit art on salvaged Detroit bricks. Theres definitely a lot of pride for Michigan made craft and I can see why!

Always filled with great vendors who are good people and care about what they are doing. There are sometimes events including live music and the space is so inviting. Definitely something you must check out if youre visiting Ferndale, and a place to stop in for gifts, odds and ends, decor, apparel, drinks and a good time if you live in the area. A personal favorite shop of mine is Tooth & Nail, situated right by the door that faces Woodward and run by a lovely woman named Stacey who remembers you and takes great pride in what she does and the excellent products she sells.

I walk by here all the time and have been meaning to stop in. I was glad to have the opportunity today! I loved all the independent shops and vendors and just the overall ambiance of the place. I was looking for someone who could make an industrial looking table with barnwood and metal and found someone who could! Also I noticed the middle area had chairs and tables setup and one of the vendors told me people rent the space for parties. They were setting up for a wedding when I was walking around. Theres also a corner bar inside which offers coffee and drinks!

Great selection of repurposed items, new items, art, vintage, food items...definitely a must visit place. Especially for finding that unique gift. Found many Christmas presents here, for others and myself. All set up in a cool building, market style. Hours are limited so check before you go...just weekends I believe, except near Christmas and maybe other holidays. When youre finished there, then go to One Eyed Bettys to eat. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

A very unique experience. A bunch of mini shops selling an assortment of hand-made goods, machined items, and random finds. A gift from here will not be found anywhere else. Also, if you fancy a drink, there is a bar you can sit and have a drink at. The bartenders and other patrons are friendly and welcoming. If you dont want to sit, you can take a beer around while you shop. Love this place. A cornerstone of what Ferndale is all about.

A great place to find that interesting present for someone thats hard to shop for. Its at the corner of 9 mile and Woodward in Ferndale. Warning! It is only open on the weekends. There are crafts, antiques, vintage clothing, food and tons of other things. A good place for people to showcase their goods and get a start in a business.

Unique. Always great finds. Best collection of local fare. The motor city brick owner is a homophobe though, he threatened my wife. Actually kept us away for awhile but, the rest of the place is too cool to stay away for long. Seriously one of my favorite places to shop for the house and funky trinkets and clothes for my toddler.

A nice place to find some local craft. Great community vibe and friendly merchants. I enjoy shopping here for gifts in particular. Its become a Ferndale classic. I heard they lost their lease and will be relocating sometime in the next year or so.bi hope the stay local to here or find a good spot in the City.

I had no idea that this place existed until about a month ago. Handmade and vintage made things can be found here. I was utterly fascinated with the things I saw. LGBTQ+ friendly, as well! I will be going back, and Id recommend anyone. Theres something for everyone here.

The Rust Belt Market is an innovative combination of artistic shops, coffee shop, bar, and event space all under one roof. It is an evolving hub of activity in the Ferndale community. A beautifully designed and unique experience that will appeal to all!

Good for when you are looking for that one "Detroit" item as a gift. Some great local artists. The real gem is The Loaded Die, a game store located in Rustbelt. They sell table top games, but also have an amazing membership bonus.

This is the coolest place Ive been to in a Long Long time. The artists are so nice and the products are not your typical art fair junk. Its real stuff created by real people. If you have never been, you have to go!!!

This is my favorite shopping spot in all of metro Detroit. I love giving artists my money instead of some large faceless corporation. I urge everyone to spend their money here with local artists whenever possible.

There is something for everyone here! Over 50 different local artists under one roof and most of them are there for you to talk to. REVEL is the in-house bar and you can grab a drink while walking around.

First time in here the other day. Great range of shops in here with all kinds of amazing items. Lots of the shops are a little pricey, but the quality of what they offer is high.

Fun and unique place to stroll around. The bar is great and you can walk around with your beer while you shop. Dog friendly as long as the dog is not a barker.

Was here for my sons reception. It was the weekend and trying to find a parking spot not to far from our entrance was terrible. Other wise nice very nice venue.

I miss the food and coffee place they used to have but its a bar now so I guess thats cool. I pick up a lot of psychadelic and eclectic clothes here. DOPE spot.

Plenty of unique, local vendors and a cool little bar inside. Lots of friendly folks, too. We spent quite a bit of time there and will definitely visit again.

A lot of cool vendors are here. Parking is kind of a pain because the lot out back is very long and narrow. You can also rent the venue for weddings and such.

Really cool place to spend an hour or 2. Different stuff every time you go. Fun environment, really awesome things and a lot of it goes for a good cause.

The most interesting things here were two huge terrariums on display! The shops are average stuff you can find at outdoor art fairs. Worth a browse.
