This man is not a chef.you cant just be a chef and never stepped foot in any culinary school. This man is a fraud. I worked in this kitchen for two days.and i had to leave.absolutely discusting food service. The kitchen is discusting the truck they use to prepare the food is absolutely horrid.this man will tell you nothing but lies.he is not servesafe certified.which is required by the syate to serve food safely.i have a culinary degree and have spent the last 8 years working under skilled chefs such as executive chef ron mcintyre at the lochmoor club in grosse pointe.executive chef alderton at cherrycreek banquet center.i am servesafe certified i refused to prepare food in an unsafe environment. .dont just take my word for it.if your thinking of using lakeland.do yourself a favor.ask to see the kitchen and the truck your food will be served out of.this man is extremely rude and will lie to you continuously. Ask to see his chef a credibility. He should have a card right in his pocket.or a certification on the wall does not.he is a lier.he actually got on channel 4 and told the whole world he has been a credited chef for 20years which is a lie.he has never been to school.ask to see his servesafe certification.which is required by the state of michigan to serve food to the public.he doesnt have.this is very important to have.it means you have been trained on the propper ways to handle food.so that no one will become sick. Thats putting in in a short version.it also teaches you the many food born illnesses that can and will accur if food is not handled propperly.this man is incredably rude.he was calling me stupid infront of atleast 30 people at a wedding we were catering on my second day.he also was making fun of my culinary degree.calling me names.but thats hear nor there.i saw him that day serving food with dirt on it.and i refused to serve it.i finally had to walk off the job. Because this man nonchef bobby nahra.is. very imiture.his parent are well off so they are financing the lakeland catering.he is just another example of a spoiled child.whose parent have lots of money to back him.this does not make you a chef.nor does it educate u on food.if i could give yhis place --stars..it would get--10stars.i actually think the health department needs to be notified of the things this man is doing in the kitchen. Before someone or a bunch of people wind up getting very ill.this is not an exaple of a discruntled employee like i said i only worked thier two days.and i refused to work under those unsafe food conditions.and me as a professional felt the public needed to know.because this man will tell you anything to get you money....sad sad.that there are still people out there doing business this way.it gives all chefs a bad name...

I have been with Lakeland Banquet & Event Centre since day one and have witnessed Robert Nahra day in and day work tirelessly with great determination and vision to build a business of his own. It has been an exciting journey to watch his passion turn into what it has become today and is changing rapidly each day due to his true love for what he has created. He has created a business that has the greatest client base who not only are clients but a huge part of the Lakeland Family. Thru the years we have been blessed by many who have trusted Lakeland for all of their important family events. There is much to be said when you have had the opportunity to assist with mile stone events from the happiest of occasions to the saddest in a clients life we have planned high school graduation parties, college graduations, engagement celebrations, bridal showers, weddings, baby showers, baptisms, communions, birthday celebrations, memorials to just name a few. All this is possible due to the great leadership and direction that Robert Nahra has established with his team. Truly a highly motivational leader as well as a True Inspiration both inside and out. With a great passion and love for culinary he is constantly trying to create new and exciting menus and events to share with his clients to make each event special for each and every person whom he comes into contact with. Self taught and focused to present the best event and culinary delights to everyone that he encounters. Besides running a successful business - he is continuously giving back or assisting others in need without asking for anything in return. From fundraising for the Solanus Casey Center, volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House, to opening the doors and welcoming those who are unable to provide for themselves and not asking for anything in return other than to hopefully give them a hand up. With great amazement it is a true pleasure to work side by side with someone with such an amazing heart and determination to push those around him to be better and greater each and every day. Proud to be a part of a team led by Chef Bobby who pushes his culinary team to be extraordinary and expects them to deliver the best to each and every guest. Here is to many, many continued years of success and even more clients that are proud Lakeland Family members.

I have been silent about something for years now. Over and over again I witnessed a man belittle, threaten and manipulate every single person around him. That man is Bobby Nahra. He entered the Memorial Day parade as if he served this country like the rest of the brave veterans. That was my final straw. All the so called charitable acts the man does just end up on his social media to feed an ever growing ego. It is a little sad actually. Fox 2 News brings him on the air to prepare food. They like the free food so much, they keep bringing the guy back. When he goes on air, he introduces himself as “Chef Bobby”. Id like to see his certification. He learned to cook later in life, like anyone can, but that does not make him a licensed chef. That would be like me studying the Bible for a couple years then declaring myself a bishop. It just does not work that way. While working, all he does is cuss and yell at everyone and everything around him. Some of foul words out of his mouth are too despicable to repeat, but his favorites seemed to be “retard”, “loser”, and “low-life”. His employees suffer under this man: the real Bobby Nahra. He even threatened his own father. Its ludicrous. One can go online and see the reviews for Bobbys business, and on there is a very honest review about the man. Right above them are two very fluffy reviews trying to cover up the honest review. The two reviewers just so happen to be Bobbys own employees: his minions. Paid by him weekly, it is no wonder they go to defend the hand that feeds them. Bobby even goes as far as having his pastry maker follow him around and document his actions on camera. I get it, you want to show off your talents in the business. To flood social media with that and countless other videos starring you know who is just too much though. The business is doing well for Bobby, and I am happy for him and his followers. It is just too much to keep seeing and hearing such a grave misportrayal and false front put on by such a mean person. Were he not so full of rage and harsh words, Bobby would not be such a bad guy. Instead of uplifting those around him, he tries to manipulate and bribe those who serve him best. I just wish more people would see the real Bobby Nahra like I did.
