I can’t stand it!!! This is soooo great!!! “The Music of Pink Floyd” accompanied by the full Detroit Symphony Orchestra! Soooo moving!!! I go to “Mix at the Max” #DSOMix as often as I can, but this is only my second time inside orchestra hall with the full orchestra. Fantastic! Last week I was here with Terence Blanchard’s performance as part of “A Musical Tale of Two Cities: Motown Meets the Big Easy”. That was unbelievable too … his jazz group accompanied by the DSO playing the soundtrack to Spike Lee’s documentary about Hurricane Katrina’s impact on New Orleans. Spell-binding! I haven’t been a huge fan of straight-up orchestra, but these #DSOMix and special orchestra events have me reconsidering my musical preferences. Thanks DSO!

I perform here every 3-5 months. Im a violinist in the Civic Youth Ensembles, and my teachers wife and her friends helped to save it back in the day! This place holds memories all the way back to the Tyrian Threats. The acoustics, resonance, build and design give this hall a ring that haunts the audiences ears, and I know from watching concerts of all types here! Best hall ever!

I love music and was unsure of classical till going to my first symphony. The first concert I saw brought tears to my eyes. Ive been a season ticket holder now for about 6 years and although I was unhappy with the strike I plan on continuing to be one as long as I can. The music they make is beautiful and only adds to a city rich in culture.

The concerto was fantastic! The Midtown area looks like downtown Birmingham now, and theres a great little bar/restaurant a block away that has 1 dollars beers for happy hour called "The Block". You can have a few beers and see the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for less than 20 bucks! It doesnt get any better than that.

A beautiful and amazing performance hall with acoustics that best any other space, even internationally. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra is a gem of Metro Detroit. As a combination, Orchestra Hall and our Detroit Symphony was far better to listen to than the New York Philharmonic at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center.

Come see one of the primer symphonies in the world, or one of the many other fun musical performance series at Orchestra Hall. A great historical music Hall with a beautifully renovated atrium lobby. Friendly staff. Cash bar service before shows and during intermission. A great place to see a concert.

My husband took me here for the Brahms Symphony orchestra and the experience was AMAZING!!! The location is nicely located in downtown Detroit! They also have a private parking garage for DSO attendees! The staff are friendly!! I hope to return for another musical experience!!!

I just attended the Home for the Holidays show at the DSO. And as usual the DSO always gives a great performance. I took a guest with me who has never had the chance to see the DSO. She was very impressed. Detroit is so fortunate to have such a truly great orchestra.

I visited here for a business convention, and the facility was fantastic! Very clean, excellent service, and great space for networking. The sound and setup in the actual hall for presentations is also very good. I highly recommend this spot for other business events.

The service is good and everything is clean, thats a plus. Acoustics are okay; you can hear everything, but depending on which part of the hall you are in the sound can change a lot. Sit far if you like winds, sit close if you like strings.

Beautiful venue. Not quite the Fox theater beauty but nevertheless very stunning. Better sound than the Fox and more intimate Fun fact, it took 4 months & 28 days to build. In 1989 it took 20 years to restore it to its original glory!

Just saw Cirque de la Symphonie last night, and it was wonderful! World-renowned orchestra, friendly wait staff, good drink selection, and the acoustics of the hall are phenomenal. Im convinced there isnt a bad seat in the house!

Beautifully maintained interior with its elaborately decorated ceilings, hard-wood seats, and plush cushions. I only wish the armrests raised up; when we go with our young son, he likes to lay across my and my wifes laps.

We enjoyed going to see the jazz band that was playing here. The venue was easy to get to, minus the construction on Woodward, and parking was right next to it. The insides were also very good looking.

been there multiple times, main stage is way outdated and an eye sore, need a significant facelift to keep and attract more listeners, viewers and players.
