me and 2 friends ate here on july 2nd around 5pm. we sat at the table for a solid 15 minutes after being seated before a waiter came to take out order. If it had been busy, that would have been understandable but we were 1 of about 6 tables and there were more employees then customers it seemed. but after getting our orders taken, we were informed by what seemed to be a very high up manager that our meal would be 50% off for the trouble. Not bad at all and worth the 15 minutes we waited. we normally wouldnt mind waiting, especially not in a hard rock because me and my friends love the music and memorabilia in the hard rock restaurants but we were on a schedule because our concert, at the fillmore, started at 630. But another + for the hard rock is that they offer a FREE shuttle service and FREE VIP passes for anyone who eats there for any concert at the fillmore. This isnt just for those who wait 15 minutes and dont get good service, this is for anyone who eats there. So instead of having to walk 8 blocks back to the concert and arrive even later, we were dropped off at the front door and were allowed to enter the concert before the line of people that was about 3 blocks long at this time. WELL worth the 15 minute wait! Oh, and the food was very good. I had a quesadilla which was one of the best ones ive had due to the large chunks of pineapple that were in it. My friends both had burgers and said they were excellent and no complaints. If we ever go back to detroit for more concerts, this is where well be eating.

First of all let me say that I have been to this restaurant a few times. The first few times were fine, good food and service. This last time I was with a group of friends that were all men (I was the only female). Our waitress came to our table and immediately started to flirt with the guys. I didnt think much and figured she was trying to get a bigger tip.....until the conversation turned to talking about her vagina and using the "F" word!!!! She did recommend a good shot called Detroit River water and then insulted me after I couldnt drink it all in one shot. This was the most unprofessional experience that Ive ever had and I will not return because of it. As far as the food, it took a long time to get, but was pretty good. I thought about talking to her manager, but my group talked me out of it. The funny part of it all was that I was the one paying AND leaving her tip...I guess that one bit her in the butt!

I just think Ashleys professional and prompt response to Rexs rant and unwarranted 1-star review was fantastic. My wife and I are moving back to Detroit after a few year hiatus, and now Im pretty sure Hard Rock will be one of the first places we try. Rex - if you found everything to be mediocre (avg) then wouldnt that warrant a mediocre rating like 2 or 3 stars? Those of us who unfortunately are at the mercy of the yelpers - and angry customers with a cell phone - of the world know full well that the scathing review you didnt hesitate to throw into the abyss that is the internet is far more harmful to us than folks like you think (or Im guessing in your case, didnt think at all- theres my college grad boredom coming out). Next time, take a few minutes to think about what youre doing before you hit send.

Where do start? Had a reservation for 18, was told atleast 12 ppl had to show up before i could be seated and it was 10 of us there. Stood around for 10mins then was seated at a table for 10 not 18, so the rest of the people showed they had to sit at another table. We all ordered our food at the same time only to have the waiters bring out one half of my tables orders than the other half exactly 23 minutes later smh. Waiter suggested a new burger wich me and my cousin ordered. Burger was not anywhere close to 8oz burger more like 5 and looked nothing like the picture with so little cheese it wasnt even visible. One member of my party asked for steak sauce 3 times and received it after he was done with his meal. Horrible service and overpriced mediocre food. Never again!!!

Stopped in for dinner yesterday with 3 friends around 18:00. We were seated within a few minutes but the tables were cramped. Unfortunately things went downhill from there. The dishes didnt look very clean and the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the first bite I took ended up with my teeth grinding to a halt on a centimeter long piece of bone. For some reason management kept cranking up the music in the place to the point where it was getting difficult to talk to the people at my table. Ive been a number of Hard Rock locations and while none of them were outstanding this location was below par. I do not plan on coming back; there are much better deals for your dollar, even in the city.

I love the atmosphere and the food! My hubby and I are huge rock fans so the music and the atmosphere are absolutely perfect! None of todays young urban rap crap played here! The caesar salad here is AMAZING and comes in HUGE portions so I always have leftovers! The waitresses are more than willing to take your picture in front of the huge Hard Rock Cafe sign too! Ive only had one bad experience here and that was with a waitress coming on alittle too strong and flirty with my husband right in front of me! Its also a bit on the very pricey side but I think well worth it. Other than that this place is FANTASTIC and in the heart of Detroit, Rock City!

Horrable experience! It started with unorganized hostess that passed over our party twice. When we finally got seated an hour later we were of course ready to order so placed it immediately. They were out of the two things on the menu I wanted so had to come up with a third option. Took hour and twenty minutes later to get our food. Food was just average and I was shorted on fries. Hard Rock should consider pulling the franchise here. Experience left me never wanting to visit another one. Only redeeming quality was our waiter Jason. He is to be commended for making the best of a horrible situation.

We were told there was a 2 hour wait, but there were at least 6 open & bussed/clean empty tables. When I asked about the empty tables, I was told they were reserved & the hostess was calling these people who had given their cell #s to hold their place & left the restaurant. They were denying people who were physically there & waiting to pay money for services, for the possibility these other people who LEFT THE BUILDING would come back & sit at these tables. Unbelievable. How does this place stay in business with ethics like this & much better food right down the street?!? Never going back.
