Great Venue! I lost my phone while bowling downstairs. I asked around and nothing had turned up. The bartender took the time to check the gutters on the lane where I had bowled, came upstairs, found me in the crowd during the show and returned it to me. If that was not enough, at the end of the night, I saw the bouncer chase someone down who had left, so he could return money that the patron had dropped. The staff, coupled with availability of decent pizza after the show, made this one of the best venues I have ever been to. My only recommendation would be for them to put a few more bourbons behind the bar.

Parking Lot

This is my favorite venue of all time. Though I was sad when it became the populux I got used to it but now that theyre the magic stick again I have zero complaints. They have great shows here and if youre looking to chill before a concert theres the garden bowl and Sgt. Pepperonis on the first floor. Both are great (sgt. pepps be my fave pizza in the D for sure). Garden bowl is historically significant as well being the oldest bowling alley in America. Magic Stick uber alles!

Started coming here when I was 15. Im 29 now. Same great doorman, Greg. Same great folks that come up there, more hipsters these days but less begging homeless adicts. Put short: this place is magical and i love it and everything its done for me and my friends, and for keeping the Ska scene in Detroit alive. Thanks Magic Stick!

The music is good, and the patio is a pleasant spot to chill, but the crowd has never been a lot of fun. A lot of kids sitting around during the openers set just waiting for the headliner before theyre ready to dance? I usually dont mind having money thrown at me either, but not when its my change at the bar.

A group of friends went to Magic Stick for a movement after party on the final night. There was handful of amazing DJs that played both in the main part and on the patio. I really like the vibe at the place and the bar staff was really quick and friendly. The lighting was cool and like the Disco vibe

Great venue since they rebranded and moved the lights from being on the colunms to the cieling. Opened the place up alot. If youre not coming in early be prepared to wait in the atrocious line, but its worth it in the summer for the huge outside patio.

Kind of sketchy looking when you first go in and the staff isnt always organized, but the venue itself is awesome and they always host quality musicians.

Cool night spot, great music! The crowd is usually pretty cool, and the drinks are priced reasonably. Huge sound system!
