Went for the free tour and enjoyed every moment. The founder spent about 45 minutes explaining all aspects of the process, how and where they source their ingredients and how they age and flavor the rum. There were about 35 people on the tour. The tasting room was available after the tour and we bought 3 bottles after trying the silver, gold and toasted coconut. They are only allowed to sell 2 bottles per adult during a year (they record your ID info) so if you buy your limit and then they release something new that youd like to try, plan accordingly (bring a friend?) or try to find it at a retailer. The toasted coconut was the most popular as indicated by a vote from our group. Highly recommend a visit.

Siesta Key is some of the best rum you will ever drink, and when you visit their distillery, the reason why is evident. Take the $2 tour, try the samples, and be sure to pick up a bottle or few of their special rums--some of which are only at the distillery. The tour is usually given by one of the founding family members, and many of the staff on hand are family, or have been there from the beginning. Their story is great, but I dont want to ruin it. Its worth the tour to hear it, and ask all the questions you want. They are generous about answering all of them and giving you a few laughs along the way.

The Siesta Key Rum tour was much more detailed and informative than I anticipated. This is a must-do when in the area. Their Toasted Coconut Rum is excellent, but the Spiced Rum has been my favorite since I first sampled it years ago. The owner is very humble, and its obvious that the amount of dedication and love thats poured into the process translates into such an awesome end product. Now that Ive met the small staff and seen the process firsthand, I will continue to support their brand for years to come.

Wonderful place to visit. The location is not what you would expect driving in (its kind of in the warehouse district) but it is nice once you get inside. They do regular tours (hours on their website) where they walk you through the process of creation. A very interesting and educational tour and it ended with samples of the best rum I have ever had. If you like rum and are in the area you MUST go here.

I am so proud to live in Sarasota where the finest rum is produced!! Well worth a visit while you vacation in Sarasota and if you as lucky as I am to live here and have not been to Drum Circle Distilling you have missed the rum boat. This is as good as it gets!! It is also available at Total Wine but more fun to visit the distillery. I have created parties around making rum milkshakes!!

Spiced rum is very good but aged spiced rum is in a class by itself. This is an artisnal rum distilled in small batches. If you like rum and are in the area, this is worth a stop. Call and find out when the tours are because they are worthwhile. The coconut rum made with real toasted coconut and not a bark extract is superb.

Go here and take the Saturday tour, which is led by the owner/head distiller Troy Roberts. His passion for creating the best rum he possibly can comes through in every word, and is validated by the long list of gold medals he has won. You might just find a new favorite rum before you leave. I know we did.

Im brought my girlfriend here for her birthday and she loved it. The coconut rum was amazing. They have this banana one thats coming out next year that you need to try. Troy was very nice even signed a bottle and souvenir cup for us!! Awesome experience you have to go if you love rum!

Amazing place to go for a tour (free) and free tasting of their offerings. You can really tell the owner and his staff care deeply about the production of their Rum! Really informative and I recommend a must visit if youre in Sarasota! Their rum is delicious!

Wife and I became fans last year when friends bought us a bottle. We took the tour a couple weeks ago and that made us even bigger fans. Wonderfully friendly family and crew. Obviously allot of care goes into their products. Spiced rum is our favorite.

I was not a rum lover before the tasting and tour. Now, I am. This award winning rum was excellent. The "Gold" label tastes like bourbon and can be sipped straight over ice. Spiced, and coconut flavors also wonderful.
