We wanted to see Sky Fall on a Friday night. Not that many people were there for the 9:40 show, however, we got there a bit early since we finished up dinner quicker than expected. We saw people were going in to theater 1 for Ski Fall, so we followed, and were allowed to get in at the ticket collection podium. We soon found out that the previous movie just finished in that theater and the cleaning crew were still working to clean up the place. We were told to stay away, so we moved to the entrance hall. Few minutes later, a woman came and ordered out out, which we didnt know she meant all the way out of the theater area all together. We moved outside of theater 1, and she started to allow other people to enter, while standing in front of us, blocking us from re-entering. We were then told that we had to go stand in line, and re-enter the theater area. She was very rude and cold. We told her that it was unfair for us to go through the line again, since we were the first ones allowed to enter. She wouldnt listen, and when we insisted on our right to enter, she called the police to order us out... We were just out to have a relaxing evening, after a long day of work, but never expected to be treated so poorly, and be insulted by someone who suppose to provide good customer service. After what we went through, it totally killed our mood, so we got our refund, and never bothered to see the movie. I seriously think that there was a racial factor in this. I am a petite Asian woman. I did not confront them with that, which I wish I did. The managers were protective of their employee. They only said sorry that the employee had poor judgement, but never offered any compensation in return. No wonder people dont want to go to the theater for movies anymore. After this extremely unpleasant experience, I will never go back to this theater again. If you want to have a pleasant movie experience, go somewhere else where people actually welcome you and treat you with respect.

No Ushers to help find the correct theater (especially when the guy scanning tickets tells you the wrong one). The lady in front of me stole who I only ordered soda stole our popcorn. No ushers to help find seats and especially when someone is sitting in your seat. (Very annoying when you have to do it 3 times in one day!!!!) The manager rectified the situation, but I was pissed to have to tote 3 kids around figuring out where to go. (They no longer post what movie is showing in the theater or what the showtime is. So once you are past the front gate you are on your own!) The reclining seats are awesome though! The assigned seating, not so much. I understand if your with a group of people. But not everyone in the theater has assigned seats so you have to kick them out as not to sit in someone elses later.

I am very unhappy with this Movie Theater, We went to the 12:30 show. Total of us 7. We went to get popcorn and guess what? The popcorn was STALE. So I said to the Gentleman waiting on us, I do not want this one do you have any fresh popcorn ? He said sorry we dont they are all the same, We pop all the popcorn the night before so it is not fresh. Okay so you want us to pay good money for popcorn that is not fresh? The sad part about it is your own employee tells the customer that the popcorn is Stale and your trying to sell it to customers as fresh popcorn. I will not be going back that is for sure and I will be making sure, I tell all My Family and Friends not to go there because it is false advertising. You need to make sure you put on the sign the popcorn is not fresh it is popped the night before,

They always have a variety of movies but other then that, this place is slightly below average. It probably only deserves 2 stars but I gave it 3 out of the convenience in location. The misbehavior of teenagers always seems to be a problem during most viewings. I usually never go during an opening weekend of a movie because I know the movie will most likely be ruined by them. Also the food is way over priced and not fresh especially the popcorn. Ive had 4 free movie tickets for this theatre for well over 2 years now, and have only been once due to primarily teenage behavior issues. Hopefully they could put something into place to Crack down on all the thugs and hood rats while the movie is running.

I had great hopes for the new seats, but I found them uncomfortable: the headrest is too poofy, which made my head jut forward and my back curve into a C-shape, and after about an hour of that, I couldnt get comfortable in any position. Cant comment on the audience problems as we rarely go at peak times -- though we must have gone at peak once because I noticed and wondered about what seemed to be a strong police presence. The popcorn is ok, but its not freshly made, so its only better than no popcorn at all. I like that they have Ben & Jerrys ice cream. But the uncomfortable seats will keep me away unless theyre showing something that isnt being shown at more modestly outfitted theaters.

Had I reviewed the Showcase Cinemas in Lowell, MA years ago it would have easily received a 4 out of 5, but boy has it changed. They have taken a page out of Chunkys book and have revamped the theater from top to bottom. Lounge style seats, a bar on site, a VR station, newer arcade games, and a fresher look really makes this a standout location. My only complaint, fewer seats per screen because of the reclining lounge-style seats, not enough of an issue if you book your tickets ahead of time. Worth the visit. P.S. On busier days give yourself an additional 10+min on top of what you had planned if you are planning on getting popcorn and other nibbles. Those lines are known to move slowly.

I remember coming here with my parents when I was younger. I remember a lot of people walking around and more of them in a seat watching a movie. In the morning or just afternoon, the theater would have a good amount of people there. Now Im a teen and I barely go at all but when I do, theres close to no one. Probably the only time the Cinemas filled is when big movies come out or past 6 (and thats when its more expensive). Even so, theres not as many people as there use to be. The place doesnt seem clean. I just get that feeling when I walk in. The workers seem to really hate their job and they act kind of rude (some). I saw the manager let a person in for free once....

Was a little bummed to see negative reviews of this cinema, to which Ive been driving a carload of opera fans from Concord, NH to Lowell to see those special HD shows. We have always found it clean, well-run, and actually a little cheaper for the operas than other venues. One could almost forget that it isnt a concert venue, since the theatre is so spacious and modern. (Warning, though: The opera crowd expects silence, so either dont eat until breaks or buy something less noisy than popcorn...at least there are lots of food choices, including cookies and Ben & Jerrys ice cream!
