Highly disappointed! I am a craps player for the most part. I have to admit I have very little good to say about Maryland Live. Of all the casinos I seen across the country, I have to say that Maryland Live is the worst, 2nd being Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore. 1st, the positive.... There are a very select few "good dealers" at the craps tables at Maryland Live. Dobrin, Michael, Michael, Brian, Jose, Cynthia and a couple more. These are excellent dealers and if after you read this review you choose to go to Maryland Live to play craps, please look for these dealers. They will treat you well. 2nd, the not so positive..... I have been going to Maryland Live since it opened. At first, it was very nice. A well run casino. Dealers were welcoming and appreciative (reference the names listed above). As time went by I noticed people and attitudes change for the worst. This is no longer a well run casino (at least not at the craps tables). Not even close. Either the casino has hired "plants" to disrupt the rolls (you will definitely know them when you hear them) (One guy smacks the table and screams, another guy will place large confusing bets then argue with the dealer and intimately cancel his bet "over and over again")or the dealers and pit bosses just dont care. Not that I am expecting them to care about my money, just wanted them to be professional. Only in this casino are players allowed to place late bets, leave their hands over the rails as a player shoots, place a bet when the dice are in the air (again and again). The dealers, when they get board they tap the table with the stick or talk amongst themselves only stopping to pick up your chips when the roll ultimately goes south. Better yet, if a dealer is trying to look good for a cute player, the dealer will flirt with that player and put you down, do anything to disrupt your roll even slowly pass you the dice because he thinks that is funny. (to that old black dealer who was kind enough to do that to me.... I hope she gave you her number) Ive learned to walk away from the table when dealers like this arrive. Ive seen fights break out, Ive seen unruly (rude, obnoxious, vulgar, threatening) players be allowed to play. Ive seen the dealers / pit bosses do nothing to gain control of an unruly player. This is the only casino that I have been in that allows such behavior. I can honestly say without reservation. I will not return to Maryland Live or Horseshoe. Ive talked to several donts players who now go to Horseshoe because they said they are no longer welcome at Maryland Live. They won too much money. To be honest.... I can see why. I understand and expect the odds to be in the casinos favor. But do they really need to stack the deck in their favor. If you think I am just an angry looser then please ignore what I have written and go see for yourself. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed. One last thing, please go to Maryland Live on a Friday night or Saturday. The music is was too loud, there is no place to park (close to the casino) and all the interesting people seem to go to the casino on these nights. Ive said my piece, good luck

This place is absolutely disgusting and has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I attended this casino on my birthday, but ended up leaving and never got to spend my free money I was given. So, I returned yesterday evening with my card and also the card of my friend who was present with me on my birthday. (She does not attend casinos regularly so she was happy to let me spend her free money) So, my boyfriend and I approached the front desk to check the balance on the cards, and we were greeted by a rude cashier girl who immediately had an attitude. She asked for our IDs and compared them to the card. She then accused me of stealing the my friends card, and I nicely tried to explain to her (after she already gave me the nastiest attitude) why I had the card. She ignored my explanation, and without looking me in my face proceeded to say oh well I dont know who or where that person is so your not getting the card back. So, of course I get pissed off because number one she is rude, number two I didnt understand why she thought I would be okay with her not only accusing me of stealing, but also confiscating something that my friend gave me as if I were a 10 year old girl with her cell phone out in school. I took the card back off of the table, and her co-worker stated they were going to call security, which I really didnt care about because me and my boyfriend were on our way to report her to another worker anyway. So, after we reported her to some nice gentlemen at another desk, who nicely explained the situation with the cards, we returned to the other desk to retrieve our IDs, and we were greeted by I guess the head of security. He proceeded to ask what was the issue, and we nicely explained. They made a huge deal scanning and reading our IDs and casino cards as if we were some type national bank robbers on the run. So, we begin to get agitated, as we just wanted our IDs so we could just leave. So, after the security guy finishes talking to the disgustingly customer service trained employees, he proceeds to tell me that since I just turned 21 I have no business giving anyone lip in the casino, and I can be ejected. So, I begin to respond, and he proceeds to tell me that oh this is a one-sided conversation. So, I let him finish, and proceeded to let him know that it is not his right nor place to lecture me on my response or behavior, he needs to be correcting his STAFF. I AM A CUSTOMER. So, after I gave my response, he proceeded to let me know that I am now "ejected" from the casino since I responded to what he said. Whatever that means. So is it because I just turned 21? Is my money or time or well-being any less valuable? Basically, he "ejected" me from the casino because I responded back to him. Who does he think he is!? Doesnt sound legal to me. Im reporting it to WHOEVER WILL LISTEN. This review or that night is not the last they have heard from me. I am disgusted, offended, and completely disappointed with the way the entire situation was handled. Do not spend your money here! EVER!!

I was hoping this casino would be an acceptable substitute for Charles Town, WV given that it is a closer drive from DC but I was really disappointed. First of all, I realize that the tables just recently opened here but in my mind they should be trying to establish a strong patron base and pulling people from Chucktown by offering decent table minimums that are at least equal or lower than Chucktown (mostly $25 on the weekends). NOT THE CASE! I went around 2pm on a Sat afternoon and was able to find 2x BJ tables under $50 mins (both were $25), and they ended up raising those to $50 after an hour or so. What was shocking is that the $50 tables were not even close to full and they still insisted on raising the $25 tables in the middle of the afternoon! You would think that if you are having to pay $50/hand you could at least get a free alcoholic drink but nope, have to pay for those too! Even CT offers free draught beer and mixed drinks while you are playing. To be fair they did hand me a buy 1/get 1 free coupon for their buffet after signing up on the spot for their members card, which is more than I have received from Chucktown even after being a member there for months and visiting several times... Altogether, I think I will continue to take the extra 15 mins required to make it to CT until MLC wakes up and stops treating their patrons like they are paying to play in Monaco.
