I have been going to shows for quite some time at the Weinberg Center. I have been a big supporter of the arts and love to support our local arts businesses. I must say that I was very disappointed on numerous occassions over the past month. I like to attend the local dance studio recitals and spring performances. This year, the Weinberg was with out air conditioning. I have now been to one comedy show and 3 dance recitals (5 weeks of performances) and the air has been broken all this time. One weekend there was a heat wave and the auditorium was unbearable. I cannot imagine what the heat must have been like for people on the stage under the lights. When I needed a break from the heat, the volunteers were blocking the fans that went down to the auditorium because they were hot too. Not sure why the air is not fixed. Many people working there keep saying it is the citys fault. Not sure who is at fault here but make sure you call before you go to the Weinberg and make sure the air is working! I hope it is fixed soon so I can go back to enjoying the arts.

I first enjoyed the Weinberg Center between 1985-1992 as a child when I attended and performed in wonderful performances. The Cultural Arts taught me a lot about our community and the dynamics of our society. The natural platform for understanding diversity will forever be an important part of my heart. Now as an adult, I enjoy how the Weinberg Center hosts all kinds of events. From small town theater, to Nationwide entertainment that visit our little community theater, this makes the small but elegant space soo special for all! I often imagine the travelers who perform here are amazed with the intricate yet intimate space. This is a very special theater in our community that I look forward to supporting and attending for many more decades to come! The diverse arts are essential to Downtown Frederick and this is literally a part of the core of that special culture!

I enjoy the wide variety of performances that theatre offers. Their Speaker Series program is a great opportunity to see high profile individuals first hand. Last year I attended Cal Ripken, Jr. and Gen. Colin Powell - both were very enlightening and inspiring. The Discovery Series performance has served as a great platform to take my elementary age daughter on "Daddy-Daughter" dates. The scenery and setting of the interior offers a great atmosphere to enjoy high quality entertainment. My family has truly benefited from our experience at the Weinberg Center.

Incredible venue, completely restored and renovated, has a Mighty Wurlitzer organ, too, which accompanies silent movies frequently! Not a bad seat in the entire house! Ive seen many productions and performances (most recently Straight No Chaser!), and the acoustics are excellent, too!

A great, medium sized theater in a fabulous town. Note that you can buy alcoholic beverages in the lobby, but for most shows (depending on the liquor license) the ushers are very strict about not letting you take the drink into the theater.
