I give it an: Ehhhhh . Though a pretty amazing story... Was a debt free philharmonic within about 10 years of its founding I believe due to extraordinary fundraising of Myra Daniels and the affluence of Naples. Now the problem.. The pricing, and programing that been limited to old standards and tired acts (think Paul Anka or ZZ Top) that have been doing the circuit for 30 years have kept this institution more as an exclusive club for the older, myopic Midwest affluent. When the Phil was founded Naples was much smaller and highly seasonal. The affluent that could escape to Naples for 3+momths needed something to do in a town lacking culture and the Phil served as an exclusive club where they could plug into their clan. Though... I think there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. A new conductor and programing director the last few years have Oh so slowly began introducing nontraditional works and doing an OK job of not rocking the boat for the old tired supporters and not getting their hats handed to them. Last season 2016 they slipped in the Water Concerto before two old standards... I was stunned, couldnt believe I was at the Phil. An amazing piece and shows hope for the institution.

I was there with my family a few months ago; the place really needs a good dusting from top to bottom. The big blue Chihuly icicle sculpture which is one of my favorite Chihuly sculptures was REALLY dirty and even in the temporary traveling exhibit of glassware that was being featured, sculptures and cases (even the insides) were dusty and had greasy hand smears on them. The Chihuly glass ceiling is also notably dusty. We enjoyed the traveling exhibit, but overall the visit to the museum was rather lackluster. I also seem to remember that years ago you were allowed to take pictures, but not now.

I have always loved going to The Phil in Naples. I saw Paula Anka and he was phenominal! On Sunday night March 24, 2013 I went to see Dionne Warwick and her performance was such a dissappointment. It had to have been the worst show I have ever seen. Her voice sounded terrible, no range, couldnt reach the high notes, she did a lot of talking and people even walked out while she was performing. She brought on her son and two granddaughters to sing. What was this American Idol? We did not pay to see her family sing. I would never recommend anyone to see her show and I will never go again.

My wife and I are regulars at the New York Philharmonic. We have attended the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra several times for their classical series and opera and are always very impressed with the quality of the musicians. It is a young group and very tight in ensemble. This is a spectacular orchestra! If you have the chance you should go hear them. Would like to see them be a little more adventuresome with their programming however. They seem stuck in the "classics." We highly recommend!

Outstanding in every way possible. The rich and entrancing collection of impressionistic paintings from the United States and on another floor of the collection, the prize collection of Olga Hirschhorn. I have traveled and seen many museums and this is one of the finest experiences Ive had made special by David Whalley who was the most gifted and intelligent docent. Like a splendid teacher I couldve listened to him for hours.

I have been there twice and love it. We saw the opera Turandot and few weeks later the Christmas show with Naples Philomarnic. This place is real comfortable with excellent accoustics. Highly recommended. The prices are reasonable for those who appreciate fine music.

Great art museum in Naples. Great to see an art museum that is open to art that is also technical. My favorite exhibit was on Jacque Fresco, one of the most prolific and underrated social designers and inventors.
