I scheduled a 4:00 Sunday 1/2 hour golf lesson with Barbara Boltin, the Sterling Farms Director of Instruction. I arrived at 3:50 and watched Barbara finish her previous golf lesson, which ran over to around 4:10, and then walk off. I went over to the pro shop where I found that while my lesson had indeed been scheduled, no one had bothered to tell Barbara about it. Much to my dismay and disbelief, they were also not willing to give me a credit for another lesson, or refund the gift certificate that I was using to pay for the lesson. So I ended up driving 45 minutes roundtrip for nothing. I would recommend that anyone looking for golf lessons search elsewhere. Mistakes and miscommunications once in a while are understandable, but the fact that the business was unwilling in any way to atone for their error is not.

Great course but the staff was rude as hell .. I totally understand pace of play is important but when you have a group of 4 and a group of 3 behind you well you do the math .. Im trying to enjoy my day off of work and go as fast as I can but when staff member is yelling at you for being " slow" I have an issue ..first of all I tried to explain we are going as fast as the game lets us and how we respect the rules but apparently lance bass didnt care ..then when one of the members on the goon squad was watching us I felt rushed so I drove off so we get yelled at again .. Great corse but the staff was rude as hell ..I didnt appreciate the unprofessionalism

Horrible!! Cant get a tee time booked through their outdated website. Each time I go to enter the credit card, it says card not valid. Calling the pro shop doesnt help either since they expect the all golfers to get their booking done through the website. Havent played on the course yet but getting a tee time booked shouldnt be this hard. Its 2017 for Gods sake.

We visit every summer for the outside Shakespeare plays. They are well done and free. We are not a big fan of the restraunt on site. There is also a site that offers a variety of plays during the year. They are reasonable compared to NYC and well done.

Best public course in the area for the price but can play slow. They have a driving range and a great hill for sledding in the winter they let kids use. Its a small hike but well worth it.

Greens are kept in good shape, the course has a great layout for the price, and its rated 72+/130+ from the tips at 6600 yards. I love playing here.

Nice challenging course. New Superintendent is really bringing this course up to par. Play here every Saturday and always a challenge.

Fun course to play and fun range. May seem upscale from the outside, but the people there are really cool and friendly.

The driving range is crowded and $15 for a large bucket of rock hard worn out balls is pretty outrageous.
