Super bee

Good drinks, they have local music shows. not the friendliest, but could have be a off night. Bar music its terrible, sugar ray and lots and lots of really bad 90s music. Its actually why I left that night. Thought it be little more punk rock from some of the reviews but Im guessing those reviewers havent been in a actual dive/grimy whole in the wall bar. I would see come see more music.

People complained all night that you couldnt hear any vocals from the performers. The bands even asked to have the sound fixed and the sound guy just wouldnt do it. Not sure what was going on, but it was unfortunate that two of the bands traveled from Texas and we couldnt enjoy their music fully. Drinks are cheap and pool was fun. Could have been great if we could have heard the vocals.

It was as if I was in a movie that was scripted and the lines of the movie were written by the creator of the universe and the music was being played sounded as if it was made just for me. The bartender is like your best friend and a great listener slash life coach all in one. There isnt a ton of great locations in Lawrence but this is definitely one of them.

Nice venue. Decent place to see visiting and local bands. My teenaged kid played here recently. Her band is relatively new, the venue treated them well and took very good care of them. Soundguy and everyone else was very nice. Good to see a place where young kids can play. Stage is not huge but easily accommodates 4 - 5 band members with plenty of room.

This place is a unique place. They have jello shots, just ask. The bartender is quirky but nice. Live music is usually decent. I liked my drinks and enjoyed myself, just wont be a regular here anytime soon.

The drinks are affordable and the atmosphere is fun for hanging out, but its a pretty terrible venue for a show. Its so narrow you cant see if youre not one of the 5 or 6 people in the front row.

Grime is this places specialty. Its kind of a dirty bar with loud performances once in a while. I dont venture here but it would be hard to picture Lawrence without it.

Best place in town for a real up close and personal show. The staff is very friendly and theres always great drink specials!

A mixed bag. Its a real hip place and they bring in some nice underground groups. On the other hand, its a dive.
