From what I could see, it looks like a nicely decorated bar but a major ripoff. We attended a show & there was no line outside. Paid our $20 each (4 of us) to get in and stepped just inside the door. So crowded you couldnt move. We were inside maybe 60seconds and decided it was over capacity. Turned around, took 2steps (literally) to get back outside and told the doorman that wed pass on tonight and very politely requested our money back. He laughed and said all sales final (even though we had been inside less than a minute and less than 4ft from him). This was very shortsighted of the Continental as they got our $80 but theyll never get money from all the future shows we would have attended. They are clearly about getting the immediate dollar and screw the customer.

This place does not respect or seem to appreciate the presence of its countries military or service men. On 01/06/2017 Top ranking officials, retired Navy Seals and foreign visitors with the Nasa Space Center as well as their families were disrespected, mistreated and even addressed by the title of their race rather than name while patronizing and spending hundreds of dollars at this establishment. They do not have phone numbers that reach live person to discuss or offer explanation. This place is not recommended for visitors, tourist or military professionals.

Steer clear off the bouncer (he has a brown long beard, about 63" and overweight) at this club. Last night he threw me onto the cement without provocation. I called the police and filed a report. The HPD Report number is 090853714-H. The manager of the club came out and as we were talking the bouncer punched my friend in the back and threw him to the ground, ripping his shirt. The manager started screaming at the bouncer "Stop it!" and I told the manager "look, your bouncer is a maniac." Surprised such a nice club would employ thugs like this bouncer.

Great time and great band; however the doorman was very rude. My friends wanted to accompany me to my car to ensure I got to my car safely a block away; after explaining this to the doorman, he stated they would have to pay the cover charge to get back in. He was adamant and rude and obvisously does not care about the safety of the female patrons.

The place needs a remodeling. There is a border between being old timey and being dilapidated. This place has reached the later stage. Just some small fix ups and a more up today cash register would do wonders for the place. Music is nice and so is the dancing.

We went to see our friend perform "Tipsy Kitten" and it was amazing! Great sound system, vintage feel to the place and there was a food server in back. Large bathrooms, pool and great bar service. Great spot for new and upcoming entertainers.

A rare type of live music venue here in Houston. A great bar that has eclectic touring offerings across their multiple stages on any given night - even weeknights. Take the time to stop in, you will be pleased.

This is the single best place I have ever been to see touring rock acts, and Ive been to quite a few. This is mostly because its so small and intimate, and its in Austin. Id be back every few days if I could.

The staff are friendly and respectful. The club is a little small when their is a great band like Lone Star Hippie playing. They have a nice spot out back for those that smoke. We had a fantastic time!

Great music venue but barstaff can be a little scattered. Most of the staff is friendly but there are a few bad attitudes mixed in. Wouldnt run a tab here on a busy night. Bring cash.

Concert venue downtown that has some pretty cool acts. Large standing room with the sounds reaching all the way to the back of the room. Catch a ride on the metro for easy access.
