If you are from out of town, dont bother going here. First of all, what is up with the no gym shorts rule? You WILL be rejected at the door. Came for a Stoney Larue concert which got canceled and when asked why, they said "It got canceled and thats all Im gonna tell you about that". I walked in and you better believe if you arent a regular in boots and jeans you are being judged!! I was dressed up in a sun dress and wedges for going out and dancing and was being looked up and down from every girl I passed. I stood at the almost empty bar, with bar tenders standing around, for 10 min an no one served me. I left in time to catch my boyfriend, who was changing from gym shorts to jeans, from paying the cover. Super unwelcoming. Severely disappointed.

Went on a Wednesday night (Wild Wendesdays...or something like that), and it was a great time. They have an awesome donut-shaped dance floor for two-step and they even mix in some hip-hop music to please everyone. As for attire, you dont have to be in your cowboy duds, but jeans and a decent t-shirt with some non-sneakers would be good. There were a lot of folks dressed for the venue though. The drinks were cheap (3 rounds for friends and myself for only $20) and the bartender was awesome! Overall, Id definitely go back again. Also, if you dont like smoke you might want to stay away; though the place is big theres a lot of smoking.

Love that you can get cover entry deals on their Facebook (always look before going!) and they have good specials.. when they have specials. Go later because when they first open its very bland and empty. You have to smoke outside now, which is a pain to anyone who smokes when they drink (isnt there a country song about that?). Great music variety, I love that its mostly country but they still mix in some good hiphop and popular tunes. The dance floor is nicely done and honestly, I always get too drunk to notice if the staff is nice, lol. Overall, its a fun time but not my very first choice.

This is a very well laid out venue with plenty of room to socialize and hang out the bar staff is very good and there are 7 or 8 bars in the joint drinks are very reasonable and they free pour served in glass ware I had a good time here very friendly faces , mingled made some new friends showing up solo.good mix of men and women...the dance floor kinda resembles a 1/8 mile oval track..only peeve I have was the lame DJ not at all creative or an emcee type and country radio hit standards mixed in some hip hop and rock and pop.

Everything was going good until we stepped foot in the karaoke room. After a few drinks, me and my boy finally got the courage to belt out some sweet Uncle Kenny, but the guy running the show was a complete goober. He said we were "too intoxicated to karaoke". Does that even make sense? Who sings karaoke sober? Its my God given right as an American to sing poorly to an amazing country artist, and if I want to do that while my stomach is soaked with alcohol, I say let me. Drinks were great though

They are jerks! I paid a $12 cover charge, wasnt even there 10minutes, had one drink. And they told me I had to leave because I had to much to drink!! Then when I said I wanted my cover charge back. The door man started screaming in my face! How dare you disrespect a woman like that! I will never be going back. There are better places to go with nicer staff anyways.

I can now say Ive been to Big Texas! It was a good experience. My friends and I went to see Kyle Park and dance. The only thing I personally didnt like about the place is the bar area in the middle. I like the dance area to be one whole area, which allows for more flexibility and movement, especially if you want to pass people. Other than that, its a nice place.

Customers started trouble with someone that wasnt involved with it at all. The customer accused had the cops called on them for no reason. And the instigators had no problems from the staff. Seems like it was favoritism. Bad manager with no explanation as to why the accused was being sent out. Bad manager, bad place of business and wouldnt recommend to anyone.

The drinks are cheap but weak and watered down. The bartender was incredibly rude. Wifi wouldnt work so we asked for help from the information desk and they had no idea what to do and wouldnt help. The crowd is annoying. Parking is inconvenient. Getting two drinks from a dive bar is the equivalent to buying ten drinks here. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Motorcycle parking up front, always a good food truck by the entrance (cant miss it), good selection of country music & nice people! ID check & $7 /person on a Saturday night with out a band playing. $1 purse check (leave it with them) and get anything from it throughout the night for no charge. Best dance place in the woodlands area Hands Down.

Feel like family every time I walk in. Amanda is the best hostess there in my opinion... BUT then again she is the only one I use. She knows what I want to drink how often. Never have to ask. Also when I see her even away from her work she will give me huh and take time to say hi even if out of her way.

Love that you can hear Randy Rogers Band, Josh Abbott Band, Cody Johnson, Aaron Watson. Non smoking and very friendly staff. I for one am glad they dont let people in wearing gym shorts, dirty T shirts, or pants sagging low... I like being around people that dress up when going out to dance.

We always have fun at Big Texas when we come to visit! We are from the Dallas area. We brought donations to help with flood victims. Today was wonderful at BIG TEXAS! This was a good thing what they did for the Flood Victims! Brandon & his staff put in a lot of hard work! Bravo Brandon!

Went here for the Charlie Worsham show (Official Brad Paisley after show). Drinks were cold and well priced. Live music was of course amazing but their DJs music was great too. Wish I didnt live out towards Katy! Id be coming here every weekend. And Wednesday for their dance classes!

Are you an asphalt cowboy? Do you like to show off your unnecessarily large truck/hat/belt buckle you didnt win in a rodeo? Staff is great, patronage isnt really open to outsider, Ive taught two girls to two step here and had fun. Bring your own people.

Love that this bar is now non-smoking! We are now going to our local bar again instead of driving an hour away for a non smoking club. We are avid country dancers and enjoy the great music and drinks at Big Texas. Its our favorite dance club!

This please suck.... horrible place to go. I had friends from California they didnt let us in! Never Coming Back... You will need a horse and boots to go in... specially is the boldhead security guard and the door does not like you....
