They have some decent shows, but when they built the place they did not plan for parking, or what to do in case of bad weather... NO SHELTER that would have been a simple solution the area for vendors keeps getting smaller, in years past they had room down river, but now those areas have been developed, so they are trying cram everything into a smaller space. Also they never cut down the weeds along the river so instead of enjoying the view of the river flowing by, the only thing you see clearly is the county jail across the river! Really CR get return of the 4 high weeds!

Meh... its usually overataffed and poorly organized. There are elderly folks running crown control! Whether theyre volunteers or employees I dont know, but its always really weird. Beverage lines are insane and for somereason they were pouring canned beer into plastic cups at last nights Primus show. Also weird. Cool spot on the downtown riverfront and some pretty good bands come through. Hopefully they can get it together.

My husband & I went there for a concert, as we walked through the gate we were looking for the ticket booth to buy our tickets. A guy came up to us and offered to give us tickets. We were very excited to get free tickets, not only that but VIP tickets! Half way through the show we learned the guy that gave us the free tickets was Pat McGrath. It goes to show you how kind people can truly be.

Nice outside venue! Ive only been there for 2 shows but the seating is fine. Both times they had chairs right by the stage, some further beck, then a general admission lawn where you can bring a chair or stand. Pretty basic beer/hard cider selection and soda. Last time they had a few liquors (might have the other time as well just am not sure).

Seen Primus tonight and was not very satisfied.... horrible view even from ga pit. stage should be higher than those standing in the pit area, it made for bad viewing and most just heard the show and instead seeing/viewing the whole package. when you pay 200 bucks for 2 tics... its kinda of a let down! wil not go back to here for a show.

Attended the Primus show on Aug 4. Worst GA pit I have ever been in: no crowd control at all and no disclaimers to that effect. I got punched in the ear and had my glasses knocked off by violent moshers. Ive been at metal concerts that were safer than this! Really disappointed with the whole experience.

Because its awesome, Im down here right now enjoying day 2 of the BBQ round up for the 1st time since Ive been in Iowa! This is also my 1st time at the Freedom Festival or at the McGrath Amphitheater! I think this place is Amazing compared to where Im from!

Poorly organized venue. A person should never have to wait 15 or more minutes waiting in line to pay for a beverage just to wait even longer in another line to get said beverages, not to mention the displacement of admission

Beautiful view of cedar rapids. Bring an umbrella if it will rain. Other than that, not a bad view. Plus, they typically hire great sound people. Just make sure youre in the mood for the talent they book.

Packed in like sardines for a concert, as the chairs have no arm rests it is even worse. The bottles of pop and water are barely below air temp. May be good for other things, but not for concerts.

Everytime I come here the event appears well organized. They keep the area looking clean and new even after large crowds come through. I also like that its part of down town and centrally located.

Nice outdoor concert venue. Great view even from the lawn. The only downside is high weed so insted of enjoying in view on the beutiful river you can see only some ugly buildings.

Dont buy tickets in Row 1, Terrace C. Concert Goers loiter in the area in front of the terrace seats to see the band, blocking your view. The staff cannot keep that area clear.
