We came up to yonder theatre when we found out they were doing a kiddo show - The Three Little Pigs. The venue was very comfortable, easy to get in and out of and made for quite the enjoyable afternoon for the two of us and our little dude. Its no broadway venue, but youre also not dropping $200 for tickets! Located just outside the Amana colonies, its a bit of a jaunt, but worth the trip. The folks that work here are top notch and, at least for plays geared towards a younger crowd, put on a good show! The place seats ~ 300 by our estimate with no bad seats due to the limited size. The seats are comfy and a little larger than we expected - always a plus. Tickets for shows geared at a younger crowd are only $8.50, while other shows are $27.50 per person with $18.00 tickets for students. Plenty of ticket packages exist as well and allow the choice-lover in you, options for just about any occasion. As youd expect from a local theatre, the refreshment offerings are limited, but I was happy to find they charge less for a pop than most places I go on a regular basis. Overall, this place is a win. The theatre crew is solid, the seating arrangements are surprisingly good for such a small place and its intimate enough of a venue that regardless of what youre seeing, youll be engaged. Were excited to go back for both little dude and bigger dude shows!

We have been attending plays here for years. The last play we saw was "MAKE GOD LAUGH". This maybe the best play I have ever seen. We were lucky to saw "Shear Madness" at the Kennedy Center and at The old Creamery. The Old Creamery did a better job. It has easy access for Handicapped. If you have to reschedule they will work with you.

This is one of my favorite Iowa places! The performances are ALWAYS outstanding, the ticket prices are affordable, the actors are talented and the venue is well maintained and comfortable. It is a place full of memories for me and weekends in the Amanas arent complete without seeing a show at the Old Creamery Theatre.

First time going to this venue. Saw "Shear Madness" & ohholycrap that was hilarious. Pretty nice place, cozy & unpretentious. The only downside i can think of was that there were no paper towels in the mens room & only one of the hand dryers worked- barely. Oh, & bring cash for concessions.

Only saw one of there shows. But the staff was very frendily and did a great job on acting and serving the food. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because it was a little hard to see the stage at times.
