Ive been there the employees are super nice and its unbelievable that they give refills in anything i dont think Regal would give refills in everything but i think that Charlestowne Mall is just getting left for trash i love the cinema but its just its sad for me to see this mall die i feel that if more people keep coming to this mall or the cinema they will maybe come back to normal for me right now i think its terrible its horrifying to go there some times im not saying this place sucks but i came one time at night and it was dark and empty with some stores illumanating most of the mall which is pretty creepy i think its restricted to enter a empty store with nothing there also the alarms of the mall are on some times because its not being turned off the escalators are not on they are frozen you have to use the escalator as usual stairs i enjoyed my experienced going there and it was the first time ive been in a abanded place and dead to rot ever in my life i really think this mall can change just bring more people

Great Buys

9.24.17 Great place, been here many times. Only reason for 4 stars this time is because it is being totally renovated. Only half of the theater is open at this time. BUT.... they are putting in great new seating to lay back and relax!!! This place has never been busy any time Ive been here. Actually. Going during the week and early, you may be the only people watching a movie!!! The entire mall is pretty much empty of stores. There is a weight workout place, and a couple game places that would be great take kids and not crowded. Better than going to any of the other big malls around.

Have other movie goers been bothered by exptremely loud sound systems at movies here at Charlestowne Mall? I had attended the latest James Bond and found my ears in pain even with covering my ears totally throughout that movie. I felt it was only becasue an action film maybe was louder? Then, today we viewed Sisters, ugh, loudness made movie viewing entirely uncomfortable. Before I go back to Charlestown, I plan to buy ear plugs and also a noise-muffling headset to help lessen the loudness to a healthier level.

This is a nice clean theater with decor straight out of 2000. The screens are nice, the projectors apear to be updated, the pictures are sharp, seem to be digital. The Sound is solid. They have good stadium seating, but no modern loungers. Dont be put off by the empty but renovating mall, its all good. I would like to see them update the seating to be a bit more comfortable but, The prices are appropriate.

I think that this is the original 80s design. It looks and feels really dated. Theaters like Marcus are putting in Dream Loungers. AMC has something like those too. Not Charlestowne. They are showing first run movies and have a budget series from time to time. They also have a handful of video games, so its a good place for the kids. You can even have a birthday party there in a private room.

Its a good budget theater. The tickets are cheaper than most other theatres and Ive never had any problems with the sound or video. Seats are standard movie seats. I dont usually get refreshments when I go to movies, but they were overpriced, typical of any theater. They just have standard refreshments, not like some theaters that have bars.

Only reason to ever go to the charlestowne mall anymore. Good theatre if youre into that thing any more. Like all movie theaters these days it is over priced,even more so for the mediocre food but if you want to see a movie Im the theater these days I suppose you have to be prepared to go bankrupt after. Clean environment and friendly staff.

So many theaters in my area arent doing refills on popcorn, or only allowing one with no refills on slushies. They give refills on everything. The nachos here are my favorite and theyll give you a large amount of jalapenos when you ask. By far my favorite theater. Also, this is the only reason we still have the Charlestown mall.

Seating is unreserved and seats dont recline. But movie theater is clean, and audio/video quality is fine so nothing for me to complain about. As a plus, parking is convenient and tickets are cheap. I would recommend that you ***** start showing Bollywood movies ***** if you want 6 stars and increased revenues.

Wow! What a theater! Me and my 3 kids love going there on almost a weekly basis. There was this great employee with orange hair, was rather skinny, and a rather pale complexion who was just delightful! All the other employees should be like this worker. I think his name was Jared, or Derek. Something like that.

The staff at Classic Cinemas Charlestowne 18 are unparalleled! The shows are reasonably priced and the managers always seem to be in a friendly and helpful mood! The popcorn at this theatre is unlike any you have ever tasted before, and the ticket takers are always glowing with happiness :D

Used to love going here for $5 movie Tuesdays because no one else ever did, but then I saw the Elgin Cinemas remodel and now I can watch $5 movie Tuesdays with free popcorn in a dream lounger. Sorry Charlestowne but it may be time to consider a remodel along with the rest of "The Quad".

I pass up several theaters to go to this one. The guy who takes your ticket is super nice, always a smile. Hes indicative of the people at this theater. They have great prices and always the latest releases in a very comfortable and well kept environment. Highly recommended!

This is the only thing keeping this mall open. Well this and Von Maur. This theater is very nice and is a great place to see a movie and hang out with friends. If this theater wasnt here making the money that it does, this mall wouldve been demolished years ago

Tried theater for the first time. Did not have a good experience. Floors dirty, bathrooms messy, rude behavior by employees & lacking attention toward paying customers. Not impressed, other than very low prices. However, those seem reflective of the service.

Best value theatre in West suburbs. $5 movies all day on Tuesday, cant beat it. Good rewards program is nice, and its free to sign up. They recently added a electronic Marquee on North Ave. and the new West entrance also makes it more accessable.

Great place to see that new movie thats sold out everywhere else. The mall is deserted, so this theater is never crowded and is always clean. The seats are normal theater seats except the arms move up and down - no fancy recliners.

This place is cheap compared to other theaters. Matinee is till 6pm so it is $5.50 to get in and for a few bucks more you can see 3D. Popcorn and pop is still pricey like other theaters but is still cheaper.

I would suggest the entrance through the mall, that way you get a free haunted mall tour (almost every store front is vacant). The theater itself is well kept and is still hopping after all these years.
