Too expensive to take small groups of kids here! $6/kid plus another $3 for skate rental plus another $5/kid for just 10 minuets of laser tag is a bit over-priced if you ask me! $14 total per child is not affordable for many small childcare businesses or even many families period to frequent this place regularly. For one thing its summertime and kids prefer to be outside at the pool and such anyway which only costs around $4-$6/child depending on where you go with NO extra costs for rentals/lastertag etc. Several other local and nearby attractions I could list are significantly less money than your roller skating/laser tag costs!! Kids can play water-guns for free outside for hours, why pay Top $$ for such a short period of time doing laser tag. Sorry to say but roller skating is just not that big enough of a draw to kids during the summer to justify those kinds of prices. If you would lower your prices and offer some deals during the summer I would come quite often but you dont and therefore I dont do business with you. As far as the place itself I have been there once or twice and everything is just fine otherwise. The Rockford Skateland when I lived in that area and Skateco are much more affordable and offered deals all the time. When they did their parking lot was packed! Hint Hint!

Well dont know where to start. For starters I will not be having any more skating parties here. Very unsatisfied with the customer service at this place. Staff was very rude and snappy. My son had a party here, which I think it was too expensive as is. Then on top of the party fees, at closing time the owner decided he wanted to add an extra admission fee for me (The mom) on top of the party fees. So you know Im very upset. So after having to pay about $165 for the party. I got an extra charge tagged on. Well to wrap this thing up, in the future my kids will be having their parties at the bowling alley or Jupiters II. This was definitely not worth the time or money.

My fiance and I went here for a date night/blast from the past. Regardless of the price $23 for two friday night, we got in there and started skating. We were then appalled at the music they were playing. Both profane and sexually explicit. I can understand for a bar, but for a place for kids? I asked the man to change the music and his response to me was, "What do you expect me to play all night? The Hokie Pokie?" I would never bring my kids here. Whats more is that their slogan is "Number one in Family Fun".

They did put in a laser tag area. Unfortunately they took part of the skate floor to do it. This greatly reduces the enjoyment on the skate floor because it feels like you are turning all the time. The new owner after Gene has not made this place better in my opinion. It also feels like you take a step back in time when you walk into this place. And thats not a good thing in this instance.

My cousin and her husband came to visit us here in Urbana. They both skated for many years and won a lot of first place s. Well we took the kids for family night and had a blast. Everything was great. Even the bathrooms were clean. Yes Skate Land has been here a long time, the building is not new. But for the age of the building it is well kept. Thank you for all the fun. I forgot how much I loved lasertag. Theyve got lasertag, rollerscating, skeeball, and nachos. I do wish they had some traditional arcade cabinets like Blazing Star or something.

Not very accomadating with children. No assistance with a walker. Rude employees. Would not recommend to anyone with kids. Traveled from another town to go here. Disappointing.

Been going to skateland since I was a kid now Im taking my kids. Great place and I love they participate in the kids skate free passes program that can be used there.

The staff is the best! They always help you out and understand everything! The Skating Rink is so fun with the lights and the songs! 50 cents for a song request too!
