Savoy 16 is a very clean and comfortable movie theater. The staff and management are very friendly, courteous, helpful and always smiling making my movie experience a real pleasure. The Savoy 16 is a very safe place to see a movie. Most of the moviegoers are very friendly, respectful, courteous and kind. I personally like to attend movies during their twilight hours because the movie tickets are cheaper. I personally also like going to movies on discount Tuesdays. I highly recommend getting a frequent movie goer rewards card. The popcorn at the Savoy 16 is excellent. I look forward to going to movies at the Savoy 16 movie theater. The IMAX is AWESOME! We drive all the way from Indiana to watch films at the Savoy 16. Why? 1. Friendly, helpful staff. Always greeted with a smile; very solicitous. 2. Clean establishment. And the decor has been updated. 3. Comfortable seating. Stadium seating is awesome. 4. Concessions. Good selection, reasonably priced and they dont mega-size everything. 5. Movie selection. They show a wide variety of films... especially films that may not be available locally. 6. Showtimes. Always a good and varying selection of showtimes. 7. Online ticket purchasing and seat selection. No more waiting in line to purchase tickets, and no worries about getting that perfect seat. 8. Last, but not least, they have a fantastic IMAX 3D theater. The sound and the picture are superb. We will definitely continue to make the trip over to the Savoy 16.

Best theater Ive been to in my life (thats saying a lot, Ive lived in India, France as well). The decor was outdated a few years ago, but they renovated it in 2013, so its like new. All the theaters have been redesigned so there are no longer flat 5-10 degree slopes, but rather a nice steep slope. Sitting in the back at every movie everytime. It is really fun. Staff is courteous. Place is clean. Popcorns great. Free flavors to add in to popcorn! This is not availible at ANY other theater that I have been to! I would recommend to get a FMG moviegoer card, because its free, and you get discounts on tickets as well as other free stuff. 3 tickets= free pepsi?!!!! Its awesome!

Bad place for anythig thats not a noisy action movie. We just went to see Fences and we could hear absurd amounts of the movie next door (sounded like "Action Sequence: The Movie"). It was really distracting amounts of bass. This is the last time we will go to this theater unless its for an imax. Otherwise Ill drive the extra 10 minutes and hit up the champaign theater where Ive never had this problem. Given their thin walls and loud bass, they really need to arrange which theaters play which movies so that loud movies dont interfere with quiet movies.

Ive seen many movies here and never had a problem before. But last week, I went to see Captain America: Civil War and the movie was sped up by at least 10 percent. The action scenes, especially, were incoherently fast. It was extremely disappointing and frustrating and it completely ruined my excitement for the movie. Left the movie in 10-15 minutes. They declined to accept that the movie was sped up but they reimbursed me for the ticket. Went to see it at another theatre the same night where the movie was at a normal speed.

The movies are always great. You can hear and see perfectly. You dont see people trying to record the movies. The only thing I dont like is the prices. Everything is SO expensive. You cant bring your own food in but who wants to pay $3 for a pop. No free refills nothing! Ive been going there for years. None of the movies i like had ever been in the luxury or dbox. I cant comment on those because I have never been in one. Expensive prices is the only thing I can complain about

Paid $50 for admission, another $30 on food. We were disturbed by a family who refused to tell their daughter to keep her feet down off of my wifes chair. So during the whole movie this lil girl is kicking my wifes seat. We asked for a refund because we couldnt enjoy our movie. They basically had us escorted out by the police as if we were the problem. What ever happened 2 customer service. Me and my family will never return....

I love how there is a student discount; therefore, I am able to go to the movies frequently with the low price and my college student budget. The seats are nice and comfy. The popcorn and movie theater eats are not as expensive as other places. The only downside is that the theater seats are not as clean as I expect them to be; I always have to change seats because I notice an uncomfortable stain or stickiness.

Three of us were there on Tuesday, May 12,2015 to see Hot Pursuit. There was only 2 other people in the theater and it was so cold we were shivering with our coats on. Very unpleasant experience. On top of that the movie was bad, but that was our choice. We almost walked out because of the temperature of the theater. I wish they would save their money and not have it like a meat locker in there.

I have only been here once or twice since the major renovations, but overall I like it. My wife and I arent very fond of 3D movies, so it seems like this theater offers the majority of movies in Imax 3d, we can go to the Big D for a 2D movie on the big screen. The theater has a pretty good rewards system that lets you accumulate points for concession food and drink.

These guys need to wake up. Long line to get in the theater while the entire lobby sits wide open, not enough registers to buy tickets makes the process slooooow! Once you have your movie tickets you go get in another line to buy concessions. You would think with all the additions they have done that they would have thought things out a little better.

Nice and clean place. I wish pop and popcorns are cheaper in cinema complex. Sound and projection quality is really amazing. Have been to IMAX and D-Box too. Watching a movie in IMAX is always exciting but D-Box is not that exciting. After sometime you lost the thrill of D-Box and sometimes it vibrates with high amplitude.

Nice place, nicer than the other options in town for big mainstream movies. I enjoyed my large comfy seat that I picked when I bought my ticket. If you get there early enough, you can pick your perfect seat, as the seats are assigned at purchase. Great sound. Great screens. Really clean for a movie theatre.

The new renovations made has made this theater one of the nicest Ive been to. They handle the big movie debuts pretty well, and sometimes have promotional things go on at the midnight premiers. If you go a lot get an FMG card, its free and will save you a ton of money. A+ movie going experience.

Always clean with a courteous staff. The IMAX is amazing. It has great picture and sound. It is a true IMAX. IMAX is a patented and copyrighted system. They wouldnt be able to use the name if it wasnt. Thats why the other theater in Champaign, that has a big screen, isnt called IMAX.
