My mother recently had a stroke, she is wheelchair bound and has a difficulties swallowing. She lives in a nursing home and does not get out often. I brought her to see a movie. She wanted popcorn, while eating she began to cough. The manager approach us and asked us to leave, less than ten minutes into a movie she really was looking forward to seeing. He said we were desturbing other patrons. My Mother and myself were very upset. I will never return to Lagrange theater, due to their incensitivity to the elderly and handicapped.

The theatre is truly one of the gems of our community. Most people dont realize how lucky we are to have a local theatre. After the restoration, we enjoy going to see movies there as a family pretty regularly. The concessions are reasonably priced, the sound and picture quality in the theatres are good, and the building has a lot of very nice architectural details that have been uncovered. Interesting fact: you can actually rent a theatre for a special event! Our friends had a birthday party there and it was awesome!

Shows movies that have been out for a month, or so , at half the price of first run theaters. You get free refills on large popcorn/sodas. Some of the theaters are oddly shaped since it was re-purposed from a large old movie house that was a large single theater space, but nothing so off-putting that movies arent watchable. Go down the street before or after the show for an enormous/cheap slice of pizza!

I am still so shocked and happy. I left my wallet in my seat. When I arrived home I realized it. When I went back to La Grange Theatre (45 minutes later) my wallet was in managers office with all of my money/credit cards. I offered to give $20.00 to the crew but manager declined. Thanks again. We always love your movies. Sincerely, Jim Orders

Landmark Alert !! I used to ride my banana-seat Stingray downtown to catch a double-feature for 25 cents at the LaGrange Theatre in the late 1950s. I actually saw Hitchcocks "Psycho" when it was released at this theatre, crouched behind the seat ahead of me, in terror. Ah, such memories....

Long time staple in the community. The renovations done years ago have kept the theater updated and comfortable. They get a good selection of movies to see on the big screen once more or before you watch it at home. Nice candy selection, good popcorn, friendly staff.

Looking for a place to see a movie and not break the bank? Try the LaGrange Theatre. They show second-run movies, so you might even be able to see that movie you missed on the big screen. The theatre was recently renovated and offers plenty of modern amenities.

Ive been going to this theatre for years and have never had a bad experience. This place beats going to an AMC and spending a fortune. Its my first pick when I want to take my kids to see a movie. The staff is always friendly and the popcorn is always fresh!

Place is nice staff is friendly. My only concern it that I dont think they have enough staff... Ive walked into theater with pop corn all over the seats and floor. I know many people can be messy but staff should be cleaning in between movie times.

Recently renovated, yet still family-friendly and reasonable. Staff has always been friendly and still is, even with changing faces. Laid back atmosphere and excellent bang-for-buck when seeing a movie a month or so after release

I helped my aunt host a private event here, and it went smoothly. We were able to hook up a laptop(hdmi) to their big projector to run a slideshow. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process.

Our local gem. Nice lower priced, old school movie experience ( though now multiple theaters, it hasnt lost its charm). Renovated public areas all nice, with some cool historic touches. Up to date movie selections.

I always try to see movies here. Its half the price, and a lot quieter than in other movie theaters. Its also independently owned and built in an old theater, so a much nicer vibe than the giant chains.

This is a great, older-school-feeling theater with enough choices to make it a no-brainer movie destination anywhere near La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Westchester, Brookfield, etc., etc.

Polite employees, reasonable prices and popcorn always fresh. My favorite theater only 30 minutes from my home, there its a AMC within walking distance from my home. I dont mind the drive.

Nice little theater! Location is in downtown LaGrange so a dinner and movie type date night works just perfect. Wild Monk is literally right next door and the food is fantastic.

Usually I like it but last time the seats were broken. Extremely uncomfortable. Theater was crowded and the door was open letting light in when the movie started.

Well priced and fairly recent films, great concession prices, seats are a little uncomfortable for a two hour movie. Short previews are a huge win!
