This wedding venue is beautiful and the decorator/sales manager did a phenomenal job. We were, however, unimpressed with the owners attitude towards us and the people helping us with our wedding. She discussed payment with my now husband the day of our wedding (about an hour before the ceremony), was rude to my family and bridal party, and was stressing me out the morning of the wedding by asking last minute decisions while trying to get ready for the day. She was bossy (telling the groomsmen to set up the chairs when they needed to get dressed for the ceremony) and unappreciative of our familys help. We had an issue with the hotel they recommended and did not defend us the way we would have hoped. Like I said, it was a beautiful place to get married and the wedding went fairly smoothly. Not everything was bad, we were just not treated well by the owner. We also have been emailed and called several times asking us to take our review down because it "hurts the Ministry of Jesus." They do give back to Christian organizations which is a main reason we chose this as our wedding venue. However, we do not feel it is ok to make us feel guilty by being honest about our experience.

Jim and Darendas passion for missions is such a beautiful testimony! Having traveled with our families together to Mexico in 2003, we witnessed their commitment to loving others and contributing globally. How perfect to once again share in the privilege of missions together when our son Ian and his wife Hannah chose to have their wedding at the Avon Wedding Barn this past spring. For us the decision was perfect, undeniably so because we knew the money we invested had a double purpose! It would not only give us a glorious wedding experience but also be given to love others and bring souls to know Jesus! It was a marriage made in heaven and makes us smile whenever we think about it!

We had the perfect wedding at the Avon Wedding Barn!!! The wedding planners Jim, Darinda and Tammy were so wonderful to work with. They were helpful with planning and coordinating every detail from suggesting caters, DJ, photographer and florist. They went out of their way to make sure every detail was perfect!! Darinda was so flexible suggesting an outside ceremony set up when the weather forecast was sunny. She worked with us to create a rustic romantic outdoor setting at the last moment. This was a stress free and beautiful day that we enjoyed and will always cherish and remember!!!

The barn is beautiful. The scenery is beautiful. The owner is extremely rude and very disrespectful. Not only did she get on to one of our guests children she also put her hands on another. She would not leave the wedding at all. She stood around glaring at our guests making them uncomfortable. Several people brought this to our attention. We found her eating our cake and our catered food. She was not offered and she did not ask. We paid her enough money to eat her own food not our guests food. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have been to a couple weddings at The Avon Wedding Barn this season. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the facility. I have had conversation with the owners on a few occasions and they are as generous and caring as can be. Anyone that says differnt is just a grouchy grump and likes to complain. I did not have my own wedding there (Im not married) but I would definitely recommend the location to anyone looking to have a wedding or an event. The barn has a nice rustic feel and can accommodate large parties.

Ive attended several business events at the Avon Wedding & Event Barn and could not have been more impressed. The owner does such an excellent job of meeting the needs of her guests. She is a joy to work with. The venue itself is really cool. A great change of pace from the usual business meeting in a stuffy board room. I would highly recommend the Avon Wedding & Event Barn for your next business meeting. The change of pace will do you good and the owner is a delight.

The Avon Wedding Barn was the perfect place for our daughters wedding ! Tammy was so kind and helpful - she made the day stress free and perfect ! THANKS Tammy !!! The day was so much fun - we were able to take advantage of the entire beautiful property. The guests had a wonderful time playing yard games and square dancing ! Our daughters reception was at Avon Wedding Barn. It is such a beautiful facility and my guests complimented our choice many times. We set up in the morning, left for the church and the staff did the last minute touches that needed to be completed just prior to guest arrival. Wonderful venue with an especially helpful staff. Lots of free parking and a rustic feel that captures so much of what is great about our beloved Indiana. Ive been a part of maybe four events there in 2016 -- almost got a Presidential candidate to stop there during the May primary. All were great experiences.

The Avon Wedding & Event Barn is a marvelous venue. Ive been there on several occasions and highly recommend it for a wedding or other event. Ive seen a couple negative reviews on here and dont understand them. The events I have attended here have been tremendous. Haters are going to hate I guess.

We rented the Avon Wedding Barn for our daughters graduation party. It was a wonderful event and everyone loved the place. I know the owners personally and you couldnt ask for a nicer couple. I would highly recommend the Avon Wedding Barn for your next event.

The barn was very nice on beautiful land. The owners were very attentive to the bride and groom but not overbearing. Its easy to see that theyve invested a lot into this Barn. I recommend this barn to anyone with an event, you will be very pleased!

It is a beautiful setting for weddings & receptions. Not all barns are air conditioned... this one IS. Summer wedding/reception no problem. The interior has antiques decorations all over.
