This Theatre had great customer service and friendly employees. It sure was expensive, but the girl who sold us our tickets was extremely energetic, I guess you could say were best friends now. I wasnt going to name anyone but Kate showed spectacular customer service. Also the guy who sold us our concessions "upsold" us and it worked! Normally I dont eat a lot of popcorn or drink a lot of caffeine but I sure did last weekend! I guess you could say we joked around a bit but every question I asked he answered and was really great at his job and seemed he was having a lot of fun! The young man called Bryce in concessions had my wife laughing till she couldnt breathe. Everything went great until I was disturbed by one of the managers. I guess you could say she was "scolding" one of her employees who looked like she had been working all day. Poor girl. I did not want to say the managers name but, Debbie, was showing the poorest customer service. I waited till she was done talking to her employee and went up to her to ask something. She was very rude and ignorant to me and told me anything I needed could be answered at guest services and pointed to where it was and then walked away. Normally people would say she was busy but I know she was just handing off her job to someone else. I was going to talk to the girl but was too late to say anything because she hurried off in the other direction. I hope she did not go home and cry. My wife felt really bad for her and so I hope all the best to her. Everything else was wonderful, I just wish people could get over their own problems and think about other people for a change. Dont think you have so much power just because youre a manager. Everyone has a heart like you so dont treat others like crap. Okay, I think my wife will be satisfied now, I will be visiting this theatre again soon and hope not to see anything wrong going on again.

To start off I like this theater. Its downtown, the screens are nice, the staff is friendly, and the sound system is usually spot on. However, this last time was not as good. The clerk gave us tickets for the wrong showtime and of course we didnt notice until we got to the ticket taker. He then said we have to go back downstairs and get the right tickets. After waiting in line to get the right tickets and the manager getting frustrated at us like its our fault we were given the wrong tickets and we were late for the movie. Now the theater was packed and there were no good seats left so we decided to move to the next showing. Once we made it back down the manager once again was less than understanding or apologetic but rather rolled her eyes at us while swapping them out. All of this to say I hope you get better service than we did and I hate to complain but to be essentially blamed for something we didnt cause and never once get a sorry that happened was disappointing. Will try again down the road but with precaution.

I get off work at 4:00 PM but my wife doesnt get off work till 7-7:30 PM and we live in Meridian. So before she gets off I catch a movie to pass the time before I need to pick her up. I have been going to this theatre almost every Friday for over two years now. I have not yet had a bad experience. I love the free parking. Yes free, if you time it right you get the first hour free in the garage and the validating at the theatre gives you another 2 hours. Only time I had to pay was watching The Lord of the Rings. wow super long. Another thing I like is the Regal card. not only I get in for a discount price, I am always getting free movie tickets and free popcorn or drinks. I find it is very clean and the staff is great. I like an escalator because an escalator can never break. It can only become stairs.

If I could rate a zero star I would. I havent been to a movie theater since 300 was originally released. My fiance and I went out for date night on one of my only days off. We went to Sinister 2 which was advertised to start at 9:25. By 9:40 I talked to the general manager about why the movie hadnt started yet and he said and I quote "We have to play 20 minutes of previews before the movie starts. What do you expect me to do about it." The movie didnt start until 10 P.M. 45 minutes after advertised time and time inside the theatre said it was supposed to start. If this is how movie theatres are running now, dont expect me to ever return to this movie chain. I would rather wait until it hits Netflix or Amazon.

The location for this Edwards is really the majority is has going for it. Although the staff were smiling and helpful, and the interior was like that of a theater of old, I have a few problems with this location that make me want to go to other venues. There are no bathrooms in the theater area. A small gripe, so not that big a deal I suppose. Just keep your ticket on you. The seats are horribly upright and uncomfortable. And, since the theater rooms are so close, there are bleed over sounds and noises. Trying to listen to dialog while thunderous base was insanely overwhelmingly blasting through the walls from some action flick next door. And come on cinemas, do you have to mark up snacks so ridiculously high?

If you want to watch a feature film in Downtown Boise then visit the Edwards Boise Downtown 9 theater. I watched the Transformers movie here on a Monday night and I was the only person here. I seriously had the entire theater all to myself, it was awesome. The theater employees are very polite and the snacks were tasty. The only issue I had was with the guy walking around with the red glow stick. He walked into the theater three times checking the emergency door. Im not sure why, but it was distracting.

Wow Im baffled with this service. I dont care who you are or what you think youre doing but you ruined a great night. First I walk in and my only option is to not watch the movie or hide my skateboard in the bush which is bull. Second, either you cant do math or youre trying to sabatoge my life, corporation OVER PRICED. Because believe it or not, you dont have to see a terrible movie for that price. Just wait a couple months and rent it on redbox for 2$ instead of 30$.

The staff in this movie theater is very rude and asks questions that dont concern them. The theater is dirty and smells bad, I found hair in my popcorn and the toilets were all clogged. When I approached the manager about this she aggressivly said "what am I supposed to do about it?" When I got to my movie ads played for 45 min past the starting time. I would not suggest going to this theater. By far the worst theater Ive been too, very disappointed.

This is a pretty typical sterile corporate environment, that being said, it is clean, and a fairly easy system to maneuver. Just very impersonal environment. Nothing bad to say (other than prices, but I think we all know about major theater prices), just nothing overwhelmingly good to say either. I prefer the flicks by far, but every now and again I sucker myself into having to see a major release film, and have to go here to see it.
