Had my brothers wedding there. The people working the venue would do as you asked but they always had a face like they were annoyed that you were asking then to do something for you. Which wouldve been fine if that was the only complaint youd have the whole night, but it gets worse. So my brothers ceremony was about 15 minutes away. I had the cake and went to drop it off about an hour before the ceremony started. No one was there or if they were, they wouldnt open up. Someone showed up 15 minutes before the ceremony started. We asked if we could just pop the cake in the fridge real quick. The person said no. We werent allowed to touch their fridge and if we stepped in he would charge us 120 dollars or whatever their hourly rate is. I had to sit in the cars Ac refrigerating the cake while I missed my own brothers wedding. Well they had an hour to get the place ready while the ceremony was going on. As I stepped in, nothing seemed ready. We rushed everything. It was almost like if we hadnt planned anything. Speaking of which, even if service isnt a deterrent to you picking this place as a wedding venue, let me just say that it was also terrible that while the reception was happening, people that were seated in the courtyard would come in to the main hall and say that they felt excluded because the music didnt reach all the way out there and they werent able to see the first dance or the last dances. Good things about the place? It looks like a pretty cool place to have your art show. Its like a modern looking place, gallery looking place. Cant say it makes a good wedding place. Terrible service, terrible attitudes.

This space and staff is amazing!!! I just had my wedding here at the end of July 2017. Mathieu is THE BEST!!! I didnt work with anyone else there, so I cannot compare him, but he seriously saved the day a few times. He was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process, very responsive, professional and great to work with - I know one of the reasons my day went great because of him! This space is also perfect! We had our ceremony and reception here, and did a room flip (because, Houston in July is HOT), we had set up the front foyer and outside area for cocktail hour and just overall spots for people to hang out at. We used Premiere Sound and Lighting for the lights - gorgeous!! They threw in the chandeliers in the main room for free because they were set up from a previous event and I absolutely recommend to add them to your package, they are the right touch of elegance that needs to spruce the space up just a tiny bit. The kitchen area was perfect for our catering (we catered a food truck, again, because Houston in July is HOT outside), however I was told that if the truck is small enough, you could park it inside the main room if it will fit - very cool! Their bridal and grooms suites were AMAZING and overall I LOVE THIS VENUE AND THE STAFF! I highly recommend this place to anyone for any event they are looking for somewhere modern. I also used the Secret Floral Garden - ask for Steve - AMAZING rentals and florals!!

I had my wedding at 5226 recently and it was fabulous. I had a completely different experience than some of the other reviewers. That might be because I worked with Mathieu, not Sammi. Everything went as planned. Mathieu was so nice and was always very helpful. The building is very contemporary, very beautiful. We had our wedding ceremony in the courtyard. It was gorgeous! We then moved indoors for our reception. We might have drunk a little too much champagne, but I have lots of great memories and some equally great photos. I would recommend 5226 to anyone. Plus, I hear Sammi is gone, so ask for Mathew. You will love him too.

The courtyard is beautiful, but please be aware that Sammi Custard is very difficult to work with. You may chose any vendor for your equipment and staff needs. But when you arrive Sammi is the one that will suggest her own business. There was poor communication, surprise costs, and a very unorganized execution of the plans for my wedding. She made the event very stressful for me and I do not recommend using her services. My friend and family ended up doing most of the coordinating work that day and thankfully the day went okay.

Words can not express how amazing it was to work with the team of 5226 Elm. 6 months before my wedding things took a wrong turn, and Mathuiew and his team moved mountains to make everything work out. I had to most out of this world wedding, and part of that was due to the team of 5226 Elm. I highly recommend if you want a one of a kind, cant be touched event, this is where you have it. Thank you again for everything from start to finish.

I attended an event here. This was a very nice space that had a large kitchen, a lovely outdoor seating, and lots of space to spread out, and a large space to gather into. The staff here was very attentive, and they were extremely helpful. I think this would be a great place to host an event.
