Ive been a client of Ocean Direct and George (Owner) for about a year now. It takes me about 45 minutes to drive out to his location. The good thing about this place is they usually have 10-20 % discount on their live stock.(if youre registered on their email list) They also Guarantee your purchase for 24 hours. Prices are fair. They have good selection of Fish and Coral. Unfortunately, Im quite disappointed with the staffs knowledge of every day common fish. It seems like they tell you whatever you wanna hear in order to sell through their inventory. Ive purchased hundreds of dollars worth of fish. When purchasing certain fish they fail to tell you "this is an expert level fish". The one guy who really knows his fish is, unfortunately, a part time employee - Franky. He knows what hes talking about and will tell you everything you need to know. Whether its a finicky eater or its an easy fish to maintain. George knows a lot, but fails to give the customer service and inform you of what youre really getting into. All in all, If you know the type of fish you want and have done your research...this place is good. I go bc they guarantee my purchase and if I have any issues theyll resolve it.

While the store may not be largest around....the quality of inventory is second to none. I caught an awesome sale and purchased some great fish....the prices were lower than at any other fish shop that Ive seen since purchasing fish up and down the Florida coast for the last 7 yrs. What may be even nicer is the info I received about a puffer fish I almost purchased.....it was a puffer not meant for my tank because if it got agitated it could emit a toxin that could harm my other fish. While this may have cost them a sale for a fish....I appreciated the knowledge and will keep comin back!

I had a blast at the Christmas party event, it was a pleasure meeting George and his entire staff. Amazing quality of products at a much lower cost than any competitor around. Just an awesome time. I had never been in before last night and I can now say I have eliminated shopping ANYWHERE else! Oceans Direct will be my ONLY store to buy from. Its amazing to still find such good people that truly care. (The selection is outstanding... you wont find a lot of the things they cary any where else around Orlando.)

I absolutely LOVE this place. Me and my fiance live in Waterford Lakes and dislike every place around us, and drive all the way to Longwood just to purchase the amazing quality of live stock George has. The owner George is very experienced and is willing to share what he knows to help build your tank into something beautiful. This is a over all great place, and they definitely have my business!!!! I would recommend this place to anyone. :}

Beginning of 2016 i would rated 4, but after my last visit they have definitely got to take care of this shop. Life stock was 20% dead in the tank and few other were in the process. Its sad but true i really like the store but i wanted i fish but I couldnt help thinking that if i bought it it was gonna kill the rest of my tank or die in a few days.

So i just went into this shop and i must say they are the nicest staff i have ever met. I love fishy buisness and they are down right side by side on the best staff award. I never went here because i thought it was all salt water but i was suprised to walk into a very nice clean fresh and saltwater shop. Deffinately deserve 5 stars!

The best prices any where. My wife and I travel a lot and visit aquarium shops in the local area. None have any comparison to this shop. The staff want to talk to you and figure out what you need and dont need. Awesome job guys.

Usually has a great selection at a fair price. Ive sometimes seen dead fish and the store has been a little dirty, but overall they have a nice selection and they are usually pretty helpful.

Ocean direct is by far my favorite live fish store in orlando. They have great fish and corals at reasonable prices, and the owner is realy riendly.
