I was misled about their glowing glass fish. I was told that these fish are naturally born with this physical trait, which is why I purchased them. After buying them I became curious to learn more about this specific fish, so I did more research online and came up with the truth. These fish are captured without any of the glowing stripes that they had when I bought them and then they are injected with fluorescent dye using a large needle to make them glow. Most of them do not survive this ordeal and those that do generally die shortly after. Out of the two I purchased last night, only one remains alive, which was a huge disappointment for my 5 yr old daughter... To be clear, Im not saying that its specifically from the injection that the one I purchased died, but it certainly didnt help - because it leads to a weaker fish. And its just kind of cruel to know that thousands of these clear see-through fish are captured and generally about 80% dont survive even 24 hours. You can do the math, thats nearly 800 fish needlessly killed for profits. If the owner of this Aquarium fish store unknowingly purchased these fish they should be aware of what theyre buying and if they are knowingly purchasing this type of fish, it says a lot about what type of business owner they are in my opinion

Weary about this place. The owner was a little odd. They had a light fixture used I was going to buy. He said it was his and was 4 months old. I was going to buy it and asked him if he could show me the settings. He said just to look at YouTube. Then I asked if I buy it and have trouble with it or it doesnt work the first few days I can bring it back for help. He said no, no returns as is. Come on, really, if this was used by you personally then back it up with a 2 day return or show me personally how to use it. This caused him to lose a sale and lose me as a customer. For this I will drive a mile down the road to topshelf where they treat customers fairly.

Love this place great price ! Coming back for sure ! I dont know what these other people are complaining about honestly. I love that the people working there dont come and bother me, they let me take my time and look around. Its a more comfortable shopping experience when someone isnt following you around trying to push products on you and talk to you constantly, plus these guys were very knowledgable and friendly when I did go up to them and start asking them questions. Do you really need someone holding your hand while you take a look around and figure out what you want to get? Thats just sad.

If youre looking for cheap-scape fish, dont come here! This is an absolute quality aquarium store. The live stock here, both plants and fish, are some of the most healthy and vibrant species you will ever see come out of a fish store. The prices are a bit steep, however, the fish are healthy and well taken care of, unlike other fish at Petsmart, Walmart, Petland, etc. I would definitely recommend this to those of you who are passionate fish lovers and would really love to start a quality aquarium!

I have been to many of the local fish stores and this place is one of the best I have seen around the Orlando area. Healthy fish, corals, inverts and a nice selection as well. The staff was helpful and did not try to push useless equipment like many stores do. Prices were fair and I will definitely return as I stock my latest tank. Take a look at their SPS dominated tank in the front window and that will tell you they know what they are doing.

Wow! The most stylish and architecturally pleasing fish store I think Ive ever been in. Good service, prices a little high on some things but good on others. You can expect that though this place screams quality and Im sure everything is worth its price. Everything seemed healthy and staff was great, still cant get over the beauty of this store. Another recommendation for Orlandos fish/coral community.

I visited this store two different days and my experience was the same both times, Im new to the hobby and went in looking for guidance. I was largely ignored by the staff, they werent very keen on answering my questions, when they did they were very short and not helpful, then when I inquired about equipment I was given a sales pitch. The fish seemed friendly but the staff are not.

The store itself was impeccable and the livestock all appeared healthy. But never have I been treated so rudely by the owner and workers. Was in there at least 30 min and no one bothered to ask if I needed help. AND then when I try to ask one question, I get every sales pitch for every reef supplement (Gimmicks) that they have. I will never spend a dime there.

I am no stranger to Orlando fish stores and this one is by far the WORST in my opinion. Livestock is all dying, display tanks are decrepit, staff does not speak English well and owner seems arrogant. Store is generally dirty and its depressing to see $2,000 worth of fish all unhealthy or dying. Save your time and visit the other local stores.

The fish might cost a little more than other stores but you are getting quality fish that have not been harvested by using chemicals to catch them which leads to early death and disease. This is the only store in Orlando that I trust to buy fish from. The tanks are clean and well cared for and the corals are always healthy and beautiful.

This store has been my favorite for 20 years, I have never found another store like it from Cali, Denver, to Florida. You can trust the fish and coral from here, i drive over four hours round trip, its always worth the drive! From the selection to quality of live stock, so glad i am back in Florida.

Very nice and helpful owner. Our tank was messed up because the water was off so we came to ask to test the water for us. He was so nice and helped us test the water. I will definitely come back. Some aquarium store dont really want to help you set up a tank but this store will definitely will!

I disagree with some of the posts here. If you want quality fish coral ect. Ocean Blue is the place to go in O-town. Im willing to pay for quality fish that I know are healthy. The showroom is just gorgeous, and the staff was very courteous and knowledgeable.

Walked in with my wife the gentlrman was on the phone did not bother to ask us if we needed any tpye of help. I usually spend money on this hobby could have easly may a few hundreds of me but the lack of attention may me just walk out.

Bought saltwater fish and cashier told me he can live in freshwater, fish dies same day, got store credit and bought a tank that now is leaking : / wont go again.
