The upside is this place brings in great acts that are rare to see in south FL. The downside is this place consistently oversells their shows. People are packed in like sardines, and thats if youre one of the lucky people who can actually get a sight line of the stage. Last night I got to the venue right at show time and they had a security guard stopping people form entering the main floor because it was overcrowded. This meant that my girlfriend and I had to stand either at the side bar with no view of the stage, or stand outside and watch video of the show on a projector. When she had to use the bathroom we asked the security if she could cut through the room to access the bathrooms and they told her that she would have to exit the venue and ask the door man to let her into a side door to go to the bathroom. This is absolutely insane. If your venue is so overpacked that you cant even get to the bathroom, then it is unsafe and likely in violation of fire codes for capacity. Culture room needs to figure this out: either stop overselling your shows or expand the size of your location. People dont enjoy spending $35 to watch the show on a screen outside the building, and then have to be escorted out of the building just to use a bathroom.

This venue should be closed down as a safety hazard. One star because zero is not available. This filthy, overcrowded venue exemplifies all that is wrong with the music scene. Consistently overbooked, which makes a general admission venue challenging if not downright dangerous for those of us who are not tall and/or muscle-bound. There are four bars and one set of rest rooms. Due to the over-booking, one has to attempt to force their way across the floor to reach the rest room. Staff is unhelpful, rude, sarcastic & inconsiderate. "Lounge" still permits smoking, so the air is unbreathable. Parking is a nightmare, if you dont arrive at least two hours early, and the last show I attended - which will definitely be the last - started 90 minutes late. So we had been waiting nearly three hours by the time they started. We couldnt get near enough to see the stage, and the lounge was poisonous with smoke, so we left without seeing the show. Total waste of money.

I just saw Dark Star Orchestra there last night and am going again tonight. That is a Grateful Dead type show for those who might not know. The venue is intimate in the sense that you are close to the band, and close to your peers. Unless the bands rhythm section understands this and plays softer than usual sound quality will be bad, its just too small of a venue for any kind of serious, untempered noise. Now for the staff. They were oddly lenient and oddly douchebags, I couldnt pin any line of reasoning to it. For example, there were many people very openly smoking cigarettes and joints but I saw no security people harass anyone for this. This is despite the no smoking signs clearly posted and the laws against smoking pot. No one told me you cant throw glowsticks in the air, but a guy in front of me was confronted by security and commanded to leave the venue for doing just that. So there were some weird little disparities there.

10/9/2016 Taking Back Sunday show. Terrible disability access to bathrooms. Accessibility to the bathrooms for physically able bodied people is difficult as well. My bf has muscular dystrophy but is not in a wheelchair. He cannot walk up steps. Basically you have to walk up steps just to get to the main stage area which is something i have never seen. Beware if you are disabled. We asked a bartender near the stage left area (cause i helped him up the steps) and he said "we usually put the wheelchair people over there" like they are just things and he didnt add a solution. Its 2016 people, get with the picture. The bartender was on the shift right when the second band was starting btw if the company looks at this. Its the little bar after you walk up the 2 steps from the semi-outside area on the left. My bf couldnt pee the whole time and we had to rush out and leave right when taking back sunday finished their set.

Its 10pm and I am home already. Instead of enjoying a night of Stick Figure, we punted. We were first greeted with an hour wait line. Got in to find an overcrowded venue while the opening acts were still going. Another 20 mins in the beer line...sweet. Found a good spot in the back with my gf but after a while the moving and accommodating of other people to pass became intolerable. After she was knocked over twice and we were spilled on multiple times, I have had enough (this all before the main act). This is the worst laid out venue I have ever been to. Logistically its a nightmare. One set of bathrooms in a corner next to the stage. Two bars to get drinks..genius. If you intend on seeing a small act, go for it. Big names (which have probably been oversold), forget about it. Enter at your own risk. Better yet, buy a six pack, pack a bowl and put on pandora. Lesson learned. Will never return.

Small venue. Not much competition in Miami-Dade/Broward, so it monopolizes the <1000 seat acts. Lots of up and coming and indie artists perform here. Stage is high, sightlines are OK on the floor, but awful from the balcony unless you get the first row. Sound is average. Bathrooms are also insufficient (like most clubs), with 3 womens stalls on 1st floor and 1 unisex stall on second. The security staff is bad -- they constantly push their way thru the crowd and interrupt a show to tell folks to turn off their flashes or to stop recording, which disrupts the show for everyone else in the crowd. Someone should tell them to chill. Wait staff is okay, but drinks are overpriced. Venue is way underparked.. I usually end up parking at the Best Western on Federal Highway for $10. The last time I got an onsite parking spot, they broke into my car trunk and stole my bag.

This venue should be thankful the bands I saw were good enough to save face.. Extremely crowded, **$8+ per drink** (I feel bad for the bartenders who dont get tipped as much bc of ridiculous prices), NO WATER FOUNTAINS, no outside food or drink (I had to wolf down my Snickers bar or "throw it out"), NO RE-ENTRY. Thank god I never have to go here again, Id rather stay home and headbang by myself just to have some civilized comforts. Business model, to me, seems to show theyre only in it for the money and not customer (or bartender) satisfaction. Comfort = 1 out of 5 Forced to buy water = 0 out of 5 Bands = Id rather drive 75 miles to a different venue and pay for a hotel.

Not that great. This is more like a converted bar. The show was an hour and a half late. Standing only. There was not enough parking in the parking lot. The audio was a bit excessively loud. And it was extremely crowded, it MUST have been over capacity in that area. If there was a fire who knew what would have happened. Hard to see performer with the "walls of flesh" since there the ground is just flat. They have a large monitor up but they would only use it to do close ups every once in a while. Musician was great though. Will not return unless they have an act I cannot see anywhere else.
