Wine and Cheese Selection: Customers appreciate the wide variety of wines and cheeses available. The process of selecting these items is unique, as you pick them from a fridge before getting to the counter.
Staff Efficiency: On busy nights, the staff manages to keep tables clean and free of empty wine bottles and glasses. However, some customers noted that food took longer to be ready.
Live Music: The venue often features live music, adding to the overall atmosphere. However, some found the music to be too loud, affecting their experience.
Parking: Parking seems to be a challenge, especially on busy nights. Some customers resorted to parking on train tracks, which is not recommended due to the risk of getting towed.
Crowdedness: The venue tends to get crowded, making it difficult to move around, especially in the indoor area.
Affordable Options: Prices for wine bottles start as low as $18, making it accessible for a wider audience.
Additional Costs: There is an extra charge for slicing and plating the cheese and meats, which some customers found to be reasonable.
Outdoor and Indoor Spaces: Lagniappe offers both an indoor area and a spacious outdoor terrace. The outdoor area is particularly popular, described as a large yard full of tables, futons, and chairs.
Food Options: Apart from wine and cheese, the venue also offers other food items. However, some customers found the food to be a bit pricey.

Consigliato!

My friends and I came here on an extremely busy Fri night and it was absolutely packed. Theres no real parking, so Uber is best. It may look small from the front, but theres a large yard with lots of seating. Love the fairy light decorations in the yard as they added just enough light that people wouldnt be stumbling over each other in the dark and you could actually see the person youre talking to. We lived the cheese boards you can get. The process may seem confusing, but heres the gist. You wait in line and then pick your cheese and meats from the fridge on the side before you get to the very front. All of the little blocks have their own process on individual stickers. They have wide selection and I was ecstatic they had my favorite, Manchego. Then, they can cut/slice/melt it for you on a tray with some bread, olives, and jam on the side for an extra $4 on top of the raw price of the cheese/meats. They also have some delicious-looking meal plates, but we didnt get to try any. At the bar, you can order wine by the bottle, glass, or any number of beers. The staff keeps the tables fairly clean and free of empty wine bottles and glasses. Fairly efficient. However, on busy nights like last night, its not surprising that the food took longer to be ready. All in all, a very pleasant experience and Im definitely going to try to go again when its less busy. :)

Really did not know what to expect coming here. Parking was a bit trivial, saw many others parking across on the train tracks, which they warn about due to the possibility of getting towed. Took the dare anyways. Walked in and it was absolutely crowded, and as I stood in a line for a beer (they have a great selection), the more people I saw walk in, the more disappeared aside from those who had secured seats indoors. I began to wonder. Im not one for tight spaces, so the next discovery after paying a relatively great price for a beer was pretty amazing. Beyond the restrooms, you will find a large lounge area full of trees with lights illuminating a backyard full of tables, futons, and chairs for couples or large groups. The energy was high, a lot more than it was with the indoor band, and even though the floor was actually dirt and there wasnt a set-up per se, it definitely felt at home and more comfortable. In addition, they serve some pretty awesome food outside as well. As a side note, one of the security guards came by and told us that they were towing. Ran outside and they werent, but was enough to move my car...so just dont even bother with parking against the tracks. Park elsewhere, at a meter, walk in a group, and enjoy the night!

All my friends love it, and apparently the friends of my friends and friends of people completely unrelated to me also do. Its always overly crowded and impossible to walk through the tiny interior that sometimes has very loud live music. The wine is pretty expensive and not as well organized as it seems, which is only exaggerated by the fact that you are either pushing others or being pushed while youre trying to get to it. After you find one you think you want you get to wait in line to pay and have them open it (which takes some time with 2 cashiers and 200+ customers). Then you can try to find a seat. One of the seats that they "recycled" from dumpster diving. One of the seats that possibly has a damp cushion from the rain... Or you stand around for a while holding a bottle of wine and cheese plate. I guess the 3 stars is because I can drink wine, eat cheese, and hang out with my friends outside... Not really because this venue deserves 3.

Fun, Hip place! Theres always a great vibe here with some good music. I guess you can call it hipster, Id like to call it "different". It is a great spot to hang out with friends, chat, and pick on some food while drinking some wine. The cool thing about Lagniappe is that when you walk in you grab your choice of cheese, meat, wine or beer from the selection they have. You can also order food, although I dont really recommend it because its a little pricey. They ring you up at the counter and you take it outside to get sliced. Please, do yourself a favor and order the cornbread with jelly! It is so good. When youre outside they give you a little platter with bread, olives, jelly, and your meats and cheeses. You take it over to your table and just hang. Its almost like sitting in your own backyard... but better. I really recommend this restaurant or backyard.. whatever you want to call it.

Great place to vibe, but not sure how honest the staff is. My wife left her iPhone 4s one evening, and was told "the cleaning staff took it". Last night, my had wife purchased a beer and a glass of wine for the table, returning with the drinks and her purse. Upon closing, we exited the gated area to wait for an Uber outside. It occurred to my wife that she must have left the purse on the table (no problem, since we were just inside). Although they begrudgingly let my wife look for her bag, no one seemed to have seen it, and we heard the same tune about "the cleaning staff" and that she should leave her information. All in all, not a place I feel comfortable loosening up on wine....not if we have to keep a close eye on our belongings ON THE TABLE.

This was by far my favorite bar in the city. I love the way the bartenders take their jobs to a new level of partisanship here.My favorite way to order a drink is to tell the bartenders what liquor and primary flavor, then trust them to put something fabulous in front of me.This place thrilled me with the results. The drinks are amazing and unique. This is a great place to hang out with friends or colleagues although its not very large. Ive heard that in a couple of months there will be another location located in a boutique hotel on Taylor. This will be an amazing addition to a newly renovated hotel that could use some recognition!
