Most awkward concert experience ever. Not really the amphitheaters fault though. This was my first show at the Amp, and Im still disappointed with the experience. Ive never been to a show with so many ignorant disrespectful people in the audience. People were walking around the ENTIRE time. Staff was constantly walking up and down the aisle with their flashlights yelling at people to sit down. Some people picked arguments with the staff, which generated more yelling. Very distracting. I thought maybe they werent really into the opening act, but it never stopped. Even a vendor started walking down the aisle in the middle of the headline yelling "Ice cold beer!" Security told him to go back out, and even he started arguing with them. More distraction. There were groups of people just standing around in the aisles drinking and taking selfies. All I could hear and see half the time was crowds in the aisle with security yelling at them. Im not sure if thats just the type of people this amphitheater attracts, but it was not a classy respectful crowd. It didnt feel like a $70 concert, it felt like a $12 baseball game. Apart from that the staff was great though, and the amphitheater was simple and convenient. At least they were trying to sit people down. I wish it had gone better.

Nice small venue, LAWN seating is really STANDING ROOM. no lawn! They dont allow chairs, or coolers, and pat you down for weapons. and the LAWN tickets are just general admin, and give you access to about 20 wide concrete pad level with top row seats. its ok, but its not a lawn, and nothing like WPB amphitheater. (their lawn is higher than the seats). The seats are good, plastic football type seats, with wide rows, so you can get past. 1st row is in fact row 1. (not some misleading row number system). and seat 1 starts on left side facing stage. probably holds 5000. over all nice small venue. Oh, yeah... the bathroom line was very, very long. I feel bad for the women, they could wait 30min to go. UPDATE 3/4/17, they moved some portable trailer toilets (w/ ac) for the last event. they also no longer allow tail gating in the grass outside. they now park cars where everyone use to put their chairs. you can still sit outside by the pool. and police / security patrol the parking lot.

Great artists play here... I have seen Allman Brothers, Journey, Black Crowes, and most recently Buddy Guy and the Rides w/ Stills, Shepard. This no canopy fully outdoor amphitheater is a great venue to enjoy a concert experience. Plenty paid parking but if u look a bit there are free park spaces available. The location is set at a very spacious outdoor Park including tennis courts and public pool in area as well as large clearings of lawn. Vendors are available as soon as u pass thru the ticket gate with a good selection of alcoholic beverages and food items. Up the stairs to get to seating area, which is very comfortable offering wide spaces between rows (allowing for concert goers to pass your seat w/o walking on your feet). Stage area has no obstructions to great view.

Dont ever go to a day concert here! There is absolutely NO shade unless you want to listen to a muffled version of the show from behind a cement wall while battling other people for the ever shrinking patches of shaded grass. The sound guy was mediocre, levels were all over the place. Bathrooms were constantly packed but at least had AC. There is a ridiculously obnoxious man who blasts a whistle and shouts incoherently about ice cold beer while wearing a hat that can be described as nothing other than an enlarged winged pickle. Its horrific and annoying. Only go if its a band you absolutely must see (which was my case).

There isnt a bad seat in the house - unless it is raining! The Amp is located in a residential neighborhood on the backside of the local high school. I know that sounds strange, but on a nice evening in November, there are few places Id rather see a show. The venue is much more intimate (smaller) than a similar amphitheater in West palm beach. We saw the Windborne Symphony perform Queen and Led Zeppelin. I think I would have enjoyed that show if it took place in a garbage bag (it was awesome), but it made it that much more enjoyable to be in such a lovely venue.

Sound and production are always horrible; and as usual, those buying tickets early paid the full price and then tickets go on Groupon once the venue is desperate to fill the remaining seats. Perhaps if whoever does the booking had some idea of which acts can sell enough seats, wed be offered better concerts and they wouldnt have to give away tickets to fill the place. Pompano has a first class venue totally being misused.

Loved it when they would let you gather and dance etc in front of the stage for the last 3-4 songs and encore. If you are in the front rows and you cant get up for the music feeling....STAY HOME. QUIT WHINING....oh yeah you cant its South Fla, its in your DNA. The place is great other than the need for more restrooms. WIDE aisles, beautiful evenings, comfy seats, lately a nice mix of acts.

always a great time. this is the last place anywhere to see a show with out gestapo thugs pushing you back to your seats. if you dont like this than go to any other place on earth. or stay in your living room and watch it on pbs. some of us still have a pulse and remember when concerts were cheap, sweaty and full of de·bauch·er·y = look it up is what we all used to live for...

The amphitheater is in the middle of a residential neighborhood. That does not take away from the fact that the bands play loud and the shows are a sellout. There are local food vendors with a wide variety to choose from. Parking is plentiful and traffic directed by the local and friendly Pompano Beach Police.

This was our first visit to the Amp. It is a nice venue for music, a much smaller version of Coral Sky...without the grass area in the back. There is free parking nearby, although if those are full they do open a pay lot. To me the only thing that shows its age is the restroom. Would definitely go again.

Horrible management of this venue. I am furious that you could sell expensive front row seats and allow other ticket holders to rush the stage like its general admission. DO NOT sell front row seats if you treat this like General Admission. Security was absolutely useless!

Very awesome location. The amphitheater is open, so in the summer it might be a little too hot for ones liking, but in the fall and winter its absolutely gorgeous. The acoustics are great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All around, really cool venue

Had a nice time even though it was raining. Went to see "Make America Rock Again..." We had 2nd row seats. The bands were awesome and well organized. The bathrooms could use a little renovation, but overall a very nice time.
