61 years ago my husband Earl H. Billick was the building contractor for this beautiful concrete tower. We lived near Pittsburgh, PA. and spent many days in Clermont while it was being built. At that time there were acres and acres of thriving Orange groves surrounding the site. Today ,sad to say, they are replaced by housing developments. But the view from the top remains the same. The Atlantic Ocean to the East and the Gulf Coast So. West. It was considered the tallest building in Florida and still could be. My age is 96 and I am very proud of this standing monument to the Citrus growers in that area. Betty Billick Martin

Cool place to check out Clermonts unique place in Floridas agricultural history. Travel 10-floors above the hilly terrain and view the bustling area as citrus farmers did nearly 50 years ago when the Clermont area was nothing but orange groves, as far as the eye can see! Put in perspective the view managers and tourists had as tractors and pickers traveled acres to process the millions of oranges that produced your morning cup of juice across the country.

We met a very friendly lady named Nadine at the front desk and bought our tickets for a very fair price. Then we rode up, up, up on this elevator to the top of Citrus tower; 22 stories tall or 226 feet. It was an amazing view of all of Lake County and Clermont! It may be warm at the top but such a cool experience you will not even notice it. Dont miss out on the beautiful view from atop Citrus Tower.

This was a childhood memory for my wife from 50 years ago at that time the Citrus Tower looked over endless Seas of citrus Groves. They hesitated to let us go up in the tower because of a lot of wasps that have made their way into the ceiling in the tower. Go after the weather has been cold. We went up and enjoyed the views though briefly and managed to avoid the wasps.

Really great historical site, but falling into disrepair. This was created to be a Florida icon, and doesnt appear to have ever really taken off as a tourist attraction. It seems to have been designed and conceived of with good intentions, but is an example of the fallacy of the "build it and they will come" adage.

Do not go to the Florida Citrus Tower. * There isnt any citrus around * The view from the tower isnt that great * The elevator is old and smelly * Your grandmother would even find the gift-shop to be tacky * The history of the tower isnt overwhelming * They dont let you to the tippy-top of the tower

It looks like something from an airport but its kind of cool. You can pick your nose in the elevator and thats what I did. I liked the paintings all over it and I think it was cool. Cant see any orange trees but its still fun. You can see Disney and pretty much all of Florida from here.

Once the lookout to see the orange groves in the Clermont area is a relic from a bygone era. You can still go up in it and enjoy the view. But it wont be orange groves you see. At Christmas time it is well worth a visit to see the light slow that blinks with tree music.

Amazing ambiance from the top of the tower, with a weird expired orange fruit aroma in the ventilation, though beautiful attraction where you see almost all of central florida (including disney), will try to sneak into the higher levels on next trip!

This place is definitely a must do if you are in Claremont. Beautiful views, and quite a little adventure. Also extremely cheap. I would also recommend doing the presidents Whitehouse museum in the same lot, also super fun. Enjoy :-)

Fun, nostalgic visit to ride the elevator to the top and look around for miles in all directions in the 360 degree walk-around observation deck. For only $6 bucks, its well worth a brief stop.

Oldest attraction in the Orlando area built in 1956 preceding Disney world as an eye catching roadside attraction. Repainted in 2015 the citrus tower is worth the $6 dollar entry.

The locals know this place well, The view used to be so much more beautiful back in the 1980s. Now you can get a very nice look at all the subdivisions from the top deck.
