My family got takeout so I cant speak to a dining in experience. However, the customer service for our order was top notch! The lady on the phone was polite and repeated my order before I even had a chance to ask her to do so. But the service doesnt end there. We ordered a lot of broiled seafood dishes, so an employee followed my husband out to the car carrying some of the food to make sure the broth didnt spill! She thanked us and wished us a good night. Mind you, my order was placed within the last 45 minutes before they closed. We were delightfully impressed, to say the least. Now, the food. Everyone LOVED each meal. We got the fish house broiled combo (some with salmon, some with Mahi) and the broiled scallops. All of it was perfect. Fresh is the first word the comes to mind. I was glad to find it wasnt swimming in butter. Seasoned with old Bay or something similar, it did not overpower the flavor of the seafood. The sides are nothing fancy, but are very good for what they are. The portions are more than enough. If you enjoy fresh, quality seafood in ample portions at more than fair prices but appreciate good service as well, you cant go wrong with Sanibel Fish House.

I was visiting Sanibel with my friend and and his family. One night my friend his mother, sister, and I ate at the Sanibel Fish House and enjoyed it. Our waiter was nice and we were there for happy hour and got very good appetizers for cheap. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I got the lobster mac and cheese and it was alright. However when we we went back the next day with his grandparents we were very disappointed. The service was lackluster in regards to the timing in which our food got out and was even entered to the kitchen. We waited very long for our appetizers, even having to ask about them. Then, two parties who ordered after us recieved their food, a party of 2 and a party of 4. We being a party of 6 did not understand why our food wasnt made first and brought out. After our food was brought after an hour, three meals were either cold, undercooked or just not even good. My grouper sandwich was good but it wasnt worth the wait. Those three meals were free and there were discounts and even two free pieces of pie, however, I can see why some do and dont like this restaurant.

The food was great, the we had a variety of seafood and everyones dinners were very nicely prepared but the service was subpar. Our server was very sweet but we waited almost two hours for our food and were told it was because the manager told her not to enter our entree order until our appetizers were served. Ive had 9 course dinners that didnt take this long. We had people falling asleep at the table by the time the food arrived, and never once did we have a manager stop by to apologize or offer any type of accommodation. Half of our party took their food to go because they were too tired to eat it by the time we finally were served. We were a table full of people who have worked in service industries so we have understanding and grace, but we were all dissapointed. Im not sure if it was because we came in on a weeknight, but thats not how you build a clientele or hope for repeat business. You can find great fish tacos and blackened grouper somewhere that can get you in and out the door much faster.

I wish I could have given zero stars out of five. The service was horrible and I would never recommend it to anyone. Im not sure why it has such a high rating on here. After waiting about 10 minutes our server proceeded to be mildly rude to us when getting our drink orders. When it was time to order our dinners the server proceeded to laugh at one of their guest for ordering from the kids menu. our entire party was a little bit confused at why our waitress would laugh and glare at one of their customers. After receiving the Mediocre food many of our meals were not what we asked. We restrained from complained farther because we just did not care for their service at all. I will never be back

Macht weiter so!!

My husband & I came in on a Sunday evening. We started with an appetizer of coconut shrimp & they were delicious! I then had the shrimp & corn chowder & he had a salad. Both good. For our entrees, I tried the special of a Lobster Boil. It was a full 1 lb Maine lobster & I chose potatoes & steamed veggies as my sides. Everything was cooked perfect & had great flavor. My husband had the surf & turf with shrimp & the same sides as me. His steak was cooked just right & the shrimp had a good flavor. Our server was also very good. We never had an empty glass. Overall, for the price we paid, the portions we got & the service we received, I would say it was an A+ dining experience.

Great service and food. I visited on a tuesday at dinner time and there was not a wait to be seated. The calamari appetizer was very good. I ordered the sea bass and absolutely hated it. I love sea bass but this was done wrong in my opinion. The description was miso glazed but this was literally drowning in sauce which takes away from the fish. The peoole I was dining with ordered fried and broiled platters and grouper bites. I tried a little bit of everything on their plates and all of it was excellent! My favorite was the broiled platter...good flavor. I was just disappointed with the sea bass.

We were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. We had raw oysters, peel and eat shrimp, the fish basket, and surf n turf (crab claws with steak), and a margarita. Family friendly atmosphere with fun decor and decent service. All the seafood was really good, on point! No fishy odor and tasted very clean. The fish basket was breaded just right, not greasy or oily, at all. The steak was fair but this isnt a steak house so thats to be expected. And the margarita was ok. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.

We sampled a lot of restaurants on Sanibel. This place was THE BEST! The service was phenomenal. The food was absolutely amazing! The prices are so reasonable!!! I highly recommend this place! They are famous for their $2 Coronas. Where on earth can you have a drink that inexpensive? I would suggest you get the blue crab dip appetizer. There are no words to describe how wonderful this is! Make sure you go to this place for sure, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! :)

Tasty food, dont expect any frills. Jerk grouper sandwich and seared tuna melt were good. Vegetarians were happy with the selection and quality. Staff was patient, friendly, and attentive (except when it was time to pay). We called ahead on a sleepy Thursday and they had a nice table set up with coloring kits for the kids. On our way out we noticed a board of drink specials, in a world without kids or driving the afternoon would have ended differently!
