This little private park is a labor of love by the Bloomingdale community, maintained and supported by its neighbors through donations and park work days. Its a pretty, tranquil spot in an out-of-the-way area behind the alleys of the unit blocks of U and V Sts NW -- great for picnics, conversations with neighbors, and enjoying nature. I feel lucky to have this treasure nearby!

Very "secluded" feeling park. Very local. Neighbors are very protective of the space, and rightly so. Just be prepared to be approached by someone with flyers stating the rules of the park, and asking for money.

Walk the dog here all the time when were dog-sitting. A beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. Well-hidden, so really only the locals enjoy it, and thats just fine by me!
