Ellssworth dog park looks new, nice and clean. moderate sized. Some sun, some shade. Friendly people who monitor their dogs. Many amenities, well planned for the most part.. The dog park is very close to Georgia Avenue. I wish the designers had put the dog park back where the parking lot is (ie back from the road) and vice versa because the dog park, during rush, hour, gets the fumes from the cars in gridlock. Would also be better if another bench or two were placed toward the back of the park at the periphery for more shaded seating and so one could see the whole park instead of just the bench placed in the middle where owners are only facing 1/2 the park with the rest behind them. Overall, however, I thinkl the county did a great job with this much-needed facility.

So theres an age 2-5 park, 6+ park, a dog park, two gorgeous tennis courts, and a bunch of tables with chess boards (although I would suggest bringing your own pieces) that also make good tables for a picnic lunch for four. Its a great setup. The equipment is in good order, and the park is pretty well maintained. We go here frequently with our toddler.

Nice clean park for off leash play, but the small dog area is entirely too small and mostly concrete with one small mound of artificial turf. We let ours play in the large dog section. Small dogs need space to run too. Hopefully they will expand that section and add some grass or mulch.

The dog park is pretty nice. Lots of room and it is very clean. To dog owners who dont like other dogs coming up to you and saying Hi please stay on the other side of the fence. I was very mad that a women pushed my dog because she didnt want her near her. Its a dog park pleople!

Great dog park! Its usually very well kept and clean. Theres a side for small dogs and a side for big dogs, although most dogs play well together in the big side. The park is closed after dark and on Monday mornings.

Really awesome park. Good planning with the grassy areas, astro turf and interesting features. Id say one of the best in the area.
