Great recliner seats. Prices change on a daily basis, good and bad thing. The staff are careless. Treyvon, John, Liz, Nick with the tattoo on his arm, Sam, and even some of the managers like Christine and Andrew could care less about your problems or the business itself. Meeting these employees felt like I was watching that old movie Clerks with Jay and Silent Bob. You cant have these kind of people who discriminate customers running a major business like this one. Other than that, the cleanliness is never up to par. Bathrooms look like they lost a game of Jumanji. Make sure you sanitize your seat because I guarantee they never do. Also, be careful where you park. Lots of break ins happen here. Ive been there many times and theres always some kind of drama going on, either it be an agitated customer or someone breaking into a car in the parking lot. I mean these break ins have even happened in clear daytime. I would have never guessed this would be possible in a town like Southington but theyre full of surprises. Oh, and dont be so gullible when it comes to buying a ticket or asking for any kind of help from an employee. They will literally lie or dismiss you if they feel like it. Managers dont care. You can cry to them but theyll bullshit you and then insult you behind your back to the employee you reported. I actually seen one employee, John, sell some bud to a GM that no longer works there as of October 2016. Oh, and one more thing, Im trying to save your wallet here. If youre going to a last showing, dont buy the biggest popcorn because it comes with free refills. Why? Because there are no refills. Once the last showing starts showing, they hide the popcorn and refuse to serve it. So dont get yourself scammed people and have a wonderful time.

Last night I went to see "It" with my boyfriend, my friend and her boyfriend (on 9/8/17 to see the 11 oclock showing.) They were younger- 18 and 17. We bought our tickets online that way we would all be garaunteed entry. My friends went to get their tickes first and then my boyfriend and I. The lady in the lobby behind the ticket counter quickly pages the guy collecting the tickets to "ID" them. Hounding them to see a movie. This upset me only because after they came up to us to wait to enter with us (since my boyfriend and I are both of age to bring a 17 year old in) the lady proceeded to treat us like children and warning us if they are "Disruptive" that they and us will be kicked out. All because they were 18 and 17- automatically assuming they will be disrespectful. They never gave anyone a problem about getting in in the first place. The staff was rude and inconsiderate even when I was nice and told them to have a good night. Wish I had gotten the names but hopefully this review will do something. The main reason why this upset me is because there are so many young people dying from drugs in the surrounding town of the starplex and they get hounded to do something as innocent as watch a rated R movie on a Friday night. There are much larger issues (drug overdoses, drinking/driving, underage drinking) than a 17 and 18 year old going to on a double date to see a movie.

We went to see a movie and arived 45 minutes early to find out it was sold out. Just for the heck of it, I tried to order the tickets online while standing in the theater and I was able to purchase three, with a "convenience" fee of $1.50 per ticket. I went back up to the counter and questioned how i just bought three tickets for a sold out movie. While she was explaining that they reserve some seats for online ticket sales, a man and child next to me were allowed to purchase tickets for the same movie, with the employee stating they had 19 seats available. I was in disbelief, and the employee helping me informed the other employee that they shouldnt be selling those over the counter... so basically, if you are standing at the counter, ready to purchase a ticket, you might not be able to, even though they have seats available, and to get those you have to pay an additional fee; for tickets that might not even get purchased otherwise. What a scam / rip-off! When I got into the movie theater, they did have really nice reclining chairs, but they were so large, reducing the number of people that can fit in the theater. Even though it was now 30 minutes before the show, we couldnt find three seats together in any of the seats in the middle section. Im never going to this theater again.

How shall I ever go anywhere else to see a movie now? This actually used to be our "go to" theater up until about 5 years ago, then it started going downhill a bit. We switched up to the Loews theater in Plainville, which was a bit farther away...but had sweet digital screens and stuff. Then one day someones like "Omg the Southington theater has these like comfy reclining chairs now!" Those 2 words "comfy" and "reclining" were enough to get me back there. Im not sure what they did...or how theyre staying in business. Theres less seats in each theater (with the big recliners taking up more room), and the prices are ridiculously cheap. But theyre doing it, and its pretty sweet. Still acceptably clean and well kept, and the chairs....dear god...the chairs. Only problem i see is that in a couple months EVERYone will find out about the place and you wont be able to get near it. Damn you society.

Like the idea of the recliner seats and usual concession stand but what is annoying is the last 3x we tried to take child to the movies, they were sold out or they werent and there was a sporadic seat here and one there and one over there; not more than one together and people wont move one seat over to make room so you end up squished in one seat, making the experience not so great. Seems that happens a lot with new theater set up. Always see many upset kids being turned away for those sold out shows and uncomfortable people in the theater. The theater staff should go up and down the isle and ask people to move so families can sit together or so not crammed into one seat. Just note people, and I will now be following own advice, either go an hour early or buy tickets online.

This place was so dirty and filthy. The staff didnt believe in helping you with info or anything. But got upset when I took pics with my phone...said they didnt allow photography and I needed to put my phone away. He wouldnt have to get upset if you would clean the place up. The seats were reclining and nice but I was scared to sit in them..because Im sure they didnt believe in cleaning those either. They kept complaining about how short staffed they were. At the end of the movie the staff went in to sweep up and complained how they hated to hear the music at the end. Miserable place with miserable ppl. I will never come here again. Filthy and gross. Ugh.

I went to the movie theater to watch all eyez on me on 6/21/2017 and when I went there and tried to buy a ticket they wouldnt let me because they insisted i needed an ID, so I went back to my car and retrieved my ID, and upon return the girl at the desk was very rude, we stood there waiting to be served our tickets for the movie and she just sat there talking to the other employees, not to mention after we got our tickets from the front desk I was told she was mocking me to her coworkers while I was gone. Also the movie theater was hotter than it was outside and the seats still had popcorn on them.
