I saw a movie here late at night. The projection and sound quality was terrible. Near the end of the movie, the picture stopped and didnt come back again. Myself and other patrons left to find out what was going on. The movie was playing by itself. We wandered around the lobby and found no staff around. I was even able to get behind the concession stand because the door was unlocked. We looked in all the projection booths and found all the movies were automatically running. Eventually a man looking like a custodian went into the movie I had been watching, assuming to fix it. I left not only because the movie I was seeing was boring, but because the experience of walking around this empty theater was very weird. If youre on the North Fork during the summer, go to Greenport Cinemas or somewhere else. Its worth the longer car ride.

I like it at Mattituck Cinemas. Its stuck back in time. The theaters are small but I love that lost in the country, east end charm. Theres a great restaurant next door and when your done with the movie you can hit the homemade ice cream store right on next block! I cant stand those giant cinemas that have hundreds of people running in all directions to get to their movies. They are so over priced and I feel like someone is going to go Rambo at an moment. I wish there where more places like Mattituck Cinemas!

Terrible. Just (attempted) to see a movie here, the theater was full of people having full out/loud conversations and running around the theater during the movie, (it was impossible to even hear the movie.) After 15 minutes we had enough, so we went to complain to the staff, thinking they would take control of the situation. The staff blamed us! They asked "what are you 16? What do you expect?!" Were all adults by the way. Save yourself the frustration, find another theater

The employees are easygoing, helpful and friendly. I lost an earring there once and it was returned to me by one of them before I left the building. The restrooms are clean, but it would be nice to have hot water and better hand dryers. Accepting credit/debit cards would really be helpful. Very often, their phone recording of showtimes is not working at all. Overall, though, a good experience.

Showed up for a movie listed online- the place was closing up. Worker said "they werent doing showings every day until later in the summer" ...what? Its mid-June! There was a whole crowd of people who came for the movie who were upset also. CALL to confirm times because there is a high chance the online info is not accurate at all. Also its cash only which is ridiculous for a movie theatre.

Its a smaller theater, theyve less screens, so you may not find the movie you want. The screens are just fine, and the sound systems quite good. Dont go in expecting IMAX, but its a good movie experience. Bring cash (they dont do cards). Popcorns good, staff are incredibly nice and helpful, but not "forced friendly". Actually friendly! 5 stars for my experience and how hard they try.

Heres one experience: - Rainy summer Saturday - One line outside (in the rain) - Lots of people with kids in line - All of the movies start at the same time. After a twenty minute wait, we find out that most of the movies were sold out. Nobody comes and tells people with kids that they are wasting their time standing in the rain!

Needs updates in every way possible!! New sound, projection (digital? 3d capability?)...seats!!!! Concession choices and fresh popped corn - use the small size venue to your advantage! How about transforming a theater into recliner seats like Regal in Ronkonkoma did. Or best of all how about limited releases?!!! Please!

Been going to the cinemas for over 20 years. The price has not changed in years. There is rarely a line to get in, and the theatres are rarely crowded. That all adds up to a usually pleasant experience. The popcorn could be better, a little salty for my taste but I eat it anyway.

U MUST have cash. They dont credit. But, dont avoid the theater for that reason. Its a very quaint theater that reminds me of my childhood. (Born in the 60s) Small theaters....5 in total....?, but good audio quality, comfortable seats and good popcorn. Great service, too!

Love this quaint theatre. No, its not one of your new movie theatres with reclining seats and alcohol served right to your seat but it is a great little movie theatre that reminds me of when I would go see a movie as a child. My only negative about this place.......cash only.

My Samsung 5 fell out of my purse at the theater. When I realized it was missing the theater was closed. I went back the next day. The ushers had turned it in to the ticket window when they cleaned up the room. Boy was I HAPPY. Thanks Mattituck Cinema ushers!!!

Great place to go anytime! Always great seating, staff is friendly, and people are respectful of one another. Ive never experienced any projection problems and parking is convenient. So much better than the Multi-plex cinemas!

Clean, affordable with 1st showing & I never had issue with popcorn. Who needs reclining chairs and new projectors .... When it only raises the price to $15 a ticket ??? Im a local & the Mattituck theatre is fine!

staff is friendly, prices are reasonable, restrooms are placed so you dont need to walk half way across the complex to use one, maybe could use an upgrade in carpeting or restroom utilities. overall, great!

Tickets are expensive and the place is kinda dated. But its the only theatre on the north fork that is open most days of the week and carries most major movies right when they come out.

Ive been going here for decades as its the only real viable option for year round movie viewing on the North fork. Theater shows some signs of age and they only accept cash.

Uncomfortable seat, the seat goes back really far and no headrest, so I have to hold my head up for the entire movie.

Convenient, has the latest movies. They are courteous and attentive to details. The bathrooms are clean.

It always great, but please people, accept credit cards already! It is the 21st Century LOL
