I wasnt a huge fan if Boondocks in Northglenn, but this was new and a lot closer to home. I figured wed take our teenagers for a game of mini golf and some pizza and atleast give it a try. It is the closest mini golf to home. Ate at the restaurant in there, very nice looking, ordered a couple pizzas, which were decent. The greeters didnt know how to work the text alert wait system and were not presentable, leaning and lounging all over the desktop. We hardly ever saw our server and as a matter of fact didnt see really any servers at all at any of the tables. They all hung around back behind the bar, with whom I assume was the manager as he was wearing a nicer and different colored shirt. Food was a bit overpriced, but fair for the establishment and the pizzas werent bad. I highly recommend asking for the water stored in their fancy containers though, our water from the tap(soda machine) tasted of high chlorine and was undrinkable. So then we waited in line to buy a round of minigolf, for about 20 minutes as there was one young girl ringing everyone up, while 2 or 3 others stood on the other end of the desk gossiping and laughing about. Got our play cards and get to the ball machine and it isnt working properly, most of the selection for getting balls werent working. 2 courses that looked very basic but there were a few noticeable decorations. We decided on Skull Island and it was an ok course, but not a lot of variety, mixup, or themed obstacles. For only being open 3 months now the starting "tee" areas were completely worn out on almost every hole. We played at night and the lighting is terrible. So bad that on most holes you cannot see well enough to putt your ball, and I slipped on a shaded slope I was unaware of because of how dark it was and hyper-extended my lower leg. This was on the front 9, and played through so I had a nice night of nursing that once we got home. We had several sets of kids who were running around the course unsupervised, playing Happy Gilmore, jumping between people and between other peoples putts, like fools. Thankfully they ran through our game before we had our first putt on that hole but others were clearly bothered, and the Boondocks attendant didnt say anything or even warn these kids when they were doing so in front of him. Finished our game and back inside to play at the arcade. Used the self-serve kiosk to load our playcards, because the lines remained as long as ever because again one person ringing people up while 2 others were gossiping on the other end of the desk. The damn kiosk froze when doing the second play card, so my wife had to wait in the main line again, while I guarded the kiosk and the kids looked for someone on the floor for help. Luckily my kids found someone on the floor after about 10 minutes of me shunning people away from my guarded kiosk. That said, my wife didnt even get halfway through the main line in that time. All fixed with play cards in hand and ready to do work on the arcade floor, come to find out just about every game is a dollar, so not gonna get much playing time here. The card reader on several machines took extra swipes to get to work, and one game completely ripped my son off for 2 games, taking his money but not allowing him to play, but like I said you cant find anyone on the floor, so that money was lost on that machine. Overall, this was a TERRIBLE first experience at the new Boondocks, and I probably wont be back anytime soon. The service is terrible, whoever decided to hire all these teenage employees really needs to rethink their interview screening process, as they have found very few that care about their job. The atmosphere was very unpleasant and felt like a huge bar/daycare with plenty of drunken people wandering around and children running and round acting a fool. Not nearly enough parking, or seating within the facility either. Went to the bathroom twice in the 3 hours we spent there and both times the floor was beyond a mess and sticky. I do not recommend this place. Its worse than even the Northglenn venue.

We took our kids and my brother & sister-in-law brought theirs to have some fun the other day since it was pouring rain. The place is nice inside and the kids loved it. We waited in line to get a bowling lane only to be told if we were only bowling, we had to wait in the other line. A bit annoying, but no big deal. We got all set up in our lane and started our game and had to ask for a server since no one was coming around. Again, not a huge deal. I saw the VIP Suite and asked for some information on it for my daughters upcoming birthday. That suite is sweet! After we were through bowling, we went to play some games In the arcade area. We had some issues with the cards not having tickets applied to them so my wife asked for some help. The guy put money back on the card for each time no tickets were applied. Then, in an effort to accumulate tickets for my three year old, I played the buzz saw game until I hit the jackpot (270 tickets). The tickets were not applied to the card. I went and found the dude that helped my wife. Heres where the real issue is. The guy said "if you would have popped the balloon, I would have heard it" basically calling me a liar. Remember that in this "childrens casino" 270 tickets might be worth $3 at its best. The second time he called me a liar I got a bit upset. He reluctantly put a few dollars back on the card, not solving the problem. I needed the tickets, not the money. I told his manager about the issue and she put the 270 tickets back on. Again, about $3. They both had a chance to save my business and failed. We will not be booking the suite for the birthday party and its because of that punk that I will not set foot in that place again.

Terrible bowling time limit policy, wont be going back to bowl! My wife, toddler, and I went to enjoy one game of bowling. We were told that their games have a time limit of 13 minutes, but because they werent busy, we could ask for more time if needed. They said this is the time of an average game of bowling. Well, I did the math, and its not good. For three people, thats a possible maximum of 63 balls if no one gets a strike, and does get a third ball in the 10th frame. 63 balls in 13 minutes equates to a ball going down the lane every 12 seconds, for the duration. That is nearly impossible. It takes almost that amount of time to have the pins cleared and ball returned! If you have a child that needs a ball aim ramp, youd better be booking it if you expect to make that time limit. And, if youre polite and let the person next to you bowl first? Theyd better not be busy or youre not going to make the time limit. We felt rushed the entire time, and when we waited in the line (now they were busy) to ask for more time, and got 20 more minutes, we still had a tough time finishing. I have never felt rushed like that, and it was a terrible experience. The people next to us paid for unlimited bowling, and they still had to go up because each game had a 13 minute time limit. This place wont get very many customers to bowl if they keep this policy. We wont be going back, as there are plenty of other bowling alleys that dont have this completely idiotic and short-sighted policy. The facility looks great, and we enjoy the games, but we will never bowl there again as long as they keep that stupid policy.
