Do not stay at the Lodge Casino, the hotel staff tried to break in to our room and then security accuses us of wrong doing. Stayed the night of June 27, 2015. Checked in to our room at 5:00 PM. At 3:00 AM there is a wire hanger being inserted under the door trying to reach up and remove our dead bolt. I open the door and it is hotel maintenance staff trying to break in to our room because they didn’t think anyone was in there. I question why didn’t you knock on the door or call the room first before you try to gain access? No response. Security (Jason) then comes to our room at 3:30 and says we are not supposed to be in this room. I’m like you checked us in and gave us keys. He made me prove to him that the keys we were given open the door. Once I prove this to him, he says he does not like my attitude. Well, we immediately check out, get the name and number of the Manager – Blair something. I leave messages for the Manager wanting an explanation and my calls are never returned. Do not stay here if you value your safety. Do not stay here if you don’t like security jerks accusing you of something at 3:30 in the morning. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels over the years and have never experience such unprofessionalism – do not stay at the Lodge Casino Blackhawk!

Ive heard terrible things about the food. Im not surprised everyone gets sick. There is a very unsanitary restaurant in the lodge. Ive seen small mice in the restaurant. The complimentary salads are not prepped. The salads are made on the fly by employees with filthy hands. The bars are never wiped down, and bottles are always sticky. Ive seen many employees after picking There nose an reach in and eat cheeries and olives right from the prepped fruit at the bar. A lot of issues with high horse security. The reviews indicate a series problem with the training at Jacobs entertainment. Im not sure really what there main responsibilities are however, after many visits to the lodge Ive seen and experienced negligence by security. I mean no medical response durung emegencies. Uncaring, once i went in I noticed an employee arguing with a patron about removing his winter cap. The man eventually walked out of the casino. The man looked like he was wearing the hat instead of a wig something was up with his head? I also been harassed mutiple times about ID too. Gross place, unfriendly.

3/5/16 Its 8:45 pm and Ive been waiting on my machine for 46.00 payout for 2 hours now. Lodge had a computer failure and many customers are waiting for their money. No one is telling us anything. Bad customer service. Will not go back to the Lodge. Tryed stopping many employees to get answers only to be shot down with rude comments. Customers should of been their number one concern. No one had answers. When I was paid John didnt have any ones, so I had to accept 45.00 or wait even longer. We should of been given accommodations for the time spent waiting. Many customers left with $ in their machines, just because they could not wait any longer. Managers were not being managers, only running around with their heads buried. No one was in charge of this disaster. Left us customers without any leadership.

My wife and I went to the Lodge casinos buffet for a nice dinner after gambling. Unbeknownst to us we would get sick off their food for two days. When I contacted the manager she was nice and apologized however I feel the lodge should have went above and beyond to retain a loyal customer and provide some form of restitution. I think that the lodge is more concerned about taking your money then providing loyal customers who had a bad experience a why to let them know they appreciate them and apologize for the issue they had. If someone came into my business and became sick off of my food I think I would go above and beyond to make it right and I dont think they did a good job at that. We will not be returning to the lodge to spend our money instead we will go to one of the many other casinos that do care about their customers.

If you go there tattoo your ID to your forehead. I was there for about 10 minutes on 11/30/2014. I walked into the casino and was asked to present my ID. That is fine. I literally took about 20 steps from the last person that checked it and was asked for my ID again. I then went up the escalator and was asked again! Walked past a blackjack table (wasn’t playing) and was asked for my ID. OVERKILL? It was at that point I just walked out and went to Ameristar. They are VERY pushy and a few people were rude when I asked why I was being accosted by everyone there for my ID. Im 31 years old ( and I look 31 years old).

We are currently at your casino right now and we just had the most racist experience with one of your workers. Its one of your security details checking for IDs and let me tell you we have never been treated so low in our lives like we did with her harassment and her vulgar language towards us. We will be reporting you to ever firm, company, group, person that we possibly can. This is truly upsetting and you better check your values, standards and workers before functioning this place. I know high respectable people in the state of Colorado and I will make sure my voice is heard!!!!!!!

I can go anywhere to have a good time. But when when an older security guard greets adults at the door with a lecture, it sets a tone for a mild and timid experience. This venue is like the Vegas hotels of old confusing layouts and limited options for food or drink, which leaves you dependent on the understaffed cocktail wait staff. The Isle and the Ameristar follow a more modern path with clear signage, bars , restaurants , wide open areas that dont make you feel oppressed or claustrophobic. 1 Star for Customer experience would have been 3 stars overall.

Excellent Buffet!! I feel ya Larry on the multiple ID checks, annoying and its .like seriously Blackhawk with underage kids...? not likely. On our recent family trip to Vegas....I DID NOT get carded/ IDd ONCE !!! and kids were walking all over everywhere casino floor and all....Blackhawk is overzealous and the ID checkers are condescending pricks and bitches 9 out of 10 times. Just have their wristband on and were good, I watch their eyes looking at my wrists and smugly put my hand up with a smile.

Was having dinner in the buffet and my brother in law came to our table as he was not hungry and it was his. Birthday. One of the shift manager was waiting and watching him. He watched him and I toast each other I had a iced tea an he had a beer. Him and his wife walked out and this manager basically threw them out of the casino. Saying he was drunk. Since when toasting and having fun is showing signs of intoxication. When i talked to him I told him he is just that way.and he was not drunk.
