I only gave this casino an average rating, but I definitely would stay here out of all of the casinos in Black Hawk/Central City. I dont mess around when I gamble. I typically play 5-7 spots with $100 bets. There is not a whole lot that this casino can offer me in the way of comps, but they have, so far, gone out of their way to make me happy. Last week I was able to attend the Lakers/Nuggets game and was given 4 pretty good seats by the casino for free. These seats were going for around $800 on stubhub so this was a pretty solid comp. If I had been giving my standard play in Atlantic City or Las Vegas I would easily receive way more in comps, but this is Colorado and things are different out here. Of all the gaming table areas in Colorado, I have found this one to be the most professionally run. I was very pleased to talk to one of their pit bosses and find out he came there from Boyd Gaming after spending time at the Borgata in AC. My experiences at the other casinos in the area have proven to me that this one is generally the most professionally operated floor staff. Reasons why I have to criticize the hotel include the quality of the rooms and the lack of room service. Any truly respectable casino needs to have room service. I am still a bit confused why they cant even offer a meager room service menu of their basic deli food and just have it delivered to the room by a valet or security person. This is something I find very frustrating. They also need to upgrade their rooms, mainly by remodeling the bathrooms and installing large flat screens. Clearly they dont need to redo every room in the casino, but they need to have at least 10-20 high quality suites for people who come up their expecting to play higher stakes and demanding nicer accomodations. Their hotel right now is on par with your standard Comfort Inn/Ramada, minus the room service. Its very comfortable, but definitely not a resort destination. Ive never had an issue with the rooms and always find them clean and accomodating, I just think they could improve in that area a lot. In all fairness though, they have been more than accomodating when it comes to providing me with as many comped rooms as I needed for me and my friends. Overall I have had good experiences here and only a few negative ones which is more than I can say for other casinos such as ameristar.

My good friend Rick Lewis from 103.5 The Fox. Was talking about The Reserve casino on his show. And was talking about his experience there. And how he was just praising its facility and how amazing the staff was. So I asked him is it really as great as you described it to be. So he said try it and you tell me. So I had never been and went up on a Saturday afternoon. I wasnt sure its location when I pulled into Blackhawk. So I called and the the woman I spoke to guided me in to it and was so kind and helpful. From the moment I arrived to the free valet parking. To checking into my room at the front desk to dinning. And the meal was excellent. I played the newest slot machines played black jack and Texas holder. Never played craps and the staff and pit boss took the time to show me And were so friendly and professional and made it a point to mAke it so much fun! I then went to there music venue in the casino called the Lava Room. It was such an Awesome facility and top notch live music with big-time bands! Everybody I staff member I encountered there was genuine And pleasant curtious kind and so helpful! Truly the best experience Ive ever had at any casino ever! Truly the best of the best with so much to do see and great fun! Its a must go place you will be blown away by The Reserve! Thank you and I will be back and tell all my friends about The Reserve casino. Fred Boobzilla!!!

I am an Entertainer who has been working for another casino in Black Hawk.Co.For several years. They were putting the bands up at "THE FORTUNE VALLEY "lol!! hotel. We had stayed there several times and when you check in they require a credit card for incidentals, no big deal because I never use any of their services right. Well I had just returned from Europe last Jan. of 08 and went straight to Black Hawk . We checked in at "THE FORTUNE VALLEY HOTEL" as usual. I had spent a lot of money while in Europe so I was watching my Credit card statements more closely, Well almost TWO months after my stay" FORTUNE VALLEY HOTEL" Was putting charges of over $150.00 on my card!!! I called several times and everytime I spoke to someone they CLAIMED to be the manager be it a male or a female. I was told every time I spoke to somebody the charges were for something different!!! My credit card company said that the funds were already paid and that I had to get my money back from the hotel! I cancelled that card and on the day that I cancelled "FORTUNE VALLEY HOTEL" had a pending charge of $102.00 ! All I can say is that if you do stay there you had better watch out for their INCIDENTAL charges!!! They Will RIP YOU OFF!!!

We went to the Reserve Casino to gamble a little and have the Thanksgiving meal that was advertised on Thanksgiving day. There were only a few there eating, and it was not long before they brought our meals. The food was only barely warm! We told the server, and she took our plates to get new ones and apologized profusely. The new plates of food delivered were only as barely warm as the first plates! Someone from the kitchen came out and apologized, but we told them to just bring us boxes and we would take them home. The few bites of each item tasted OK, but either the food was not being kept hot in the kitchen, served out onto very cold plates, or both! We left the server her tip, food not her problem and she was working on a holiday. They did comp us the dinners, and when heated at home it was a good meal, but we probably wont go back.

We had dinner at the Bistro 321 Chophouse restaurant and it was probably the worst food i ever ate in my life . I ordered the prime rib steak it tasted like it was previously frozen ,and no baked potatoes they said were out (well bake me one )so substituted with a awful cold mashed potatoes. The 5 pieces of asparagus I got were like rubber . The service was probably the worst i received from any place , the waiter just seemed annoyed at my wife and I . We ordered what we thought would be a good bottle of red for 27 dollars which they pull out of the "wine cellar " and they came out with a screw off top wine that tasted like vinegar . For the price i would expect so much more . We will never return to the reserve . Awful , Awful , Awful .... screw you and your over priced "BISTRO " restaurant , a walmart kitchen could of did better .

Playing here since it was ohara, racked up free comps and hotel stays but for the last year and a half every time I call to reserve my free room and this lady Mary answers I am shut out off the back. The last room I was able to book was infested with bed bugs. I spent tens of thousands of dollars with this casino to be rejected of my free comps because of my race. I say this because when Mary and her supervisor talked to me they gave me a big ol story about how they where spraying for bedbugs and only 50 percent of there rooms were available non on comps. I called back impersonating a white man John Hancock and put on the southern shine where Mary had more then 5 rooms available for comps. Sad I would advise all Latino and African American to boycott this hotel and casino.
