Ticket prices are fair considering that 90% of revenue from them are sent to the studios. Concessions prices are high, but that is expected, considering that the theater makes next to nothing off ticket sales and relies on concessions to bring in the revenue and pay for all the expenditures - Sound for every theater, lights, plumbing, maintenance, etc. It irks me hearing people complain about every little thing that they can. "Why are the restrooms upstairs?" Well, the place was built in the 80s. "Why are the lines so long at concessions?" so on and so on. The employees can only do so much considering that there are times when the place seems very understaffed. There is a complaint that makes me laugh when I hear others mutter under their breath, complaining that there is nobody in the box office on weekdays. If they took less than 10 seconds to READ the SIGN, which is at FACE LEVEL, then they wouldnt complain as much. This theater excels in many places, great customer service - that may wane when the morale is low. The employees are very friendly and apologetic even for simple things - "The image in the theater is a fraction of the size as the screen." - There are TWO systems. The PRE-show and then the movie. As soon as the movie itself starts, then the screen will go back to normal. And why complain to the workers in concessions? They cant do anything there. Go tell someone in the box office who can take care of it faster. Should probably stop the rant and give overall review. Employees - Excellent Prices - Fair Building - Older Overall - Great cozy place to catch a movie.

So this rating would be a 5-star rating for the Digiplex theater that the AMC is in. So, i went there today to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the experience was crappy. So, first off the staff. Their nice and all, but the lady at the door that checked my movie ticket and at the end she yelled when i was like a foot away she yelled "GOODBYE!!!" and at that moment, i wanted to leave. Then the line thing which i know is a problem, they had a normal "zigzagged line" and a "premier line for special people." So, someone can go and brag to their friend and say "Hey bill you know that yellow line at the place over their? *points finger to line.* Yeah? so? Well i just got access! well, i think you got scammed. which you did and payed $4000." and its just awkward. i like the Digiplex better than the AMC theater. i think it was just a scam from AMC to do something like that to Digiplex and was just a rip-off and it just doesnt feel the same. So, just please bring back the Digiplex.

Being a Poway local, I thought I would go see a movie in Poway on a hot afternoon. First we got two sodas and a large Popcorn. The guy first started to give us the wrong size popcorn. Then he scrapped the bottom, so it was filled with tiny little pieces of popcorn with Burt pieces in it ....second, I just had surgery on my food and the handicap bathroom was out of order, so you had to climb the stairs .....third, after setting through a ton of commercials which I understand. But, when the movie started. The lights were still on and the movie, the Mummy, had no sound. So we were lost on what was going on. This is NOT the first time this has happened to me here in Poway. We told them and so the movie was started over and the lights were turned off. I think next time we will just drive over to Mira Mesa theaters and try them.

My previous visits have been great, but today I was disappointed. The movie was great but the sound was so low, i had a hard time hearing it, and I have good hearing. The theater we were in, #1, was run down, very old school feeling. The people on either side of us were distracting with their phones ringing and texting throughout the movie. No amount of hints got their attention. I wanted to complain to someone but my husband talked me out of it. I guess I just expected more from a Poway establishment. I guess I will have to do more research to make sure we dont go into theater 1 again. One last thing, some of the womens stalls did not have toilet paper. I know instead of complaining, I should have taken actions, which I feel, Im partly doing by writing this review.

Getting a bit run down. Weve been here a few times in the past, but last night was probably our last. Seats are not comfortable and it actually smelled bad. Needs to be renovated, updated and cleaned. Its a little cheaper than other theaters and rarely has crowds, but because of the seating you cant have anyone taller than a toddler sit in front of you or the screen can be partially blocked. If you need to save a few bucks and dont mind a little older theater with uncomfortable seats then the movie will be fine. Just sit close enough to not be distracted by people opening the door and letting in light during the movie.

Not exactly the most lavish or updated, but what this theater lacks in ambiance, it makes up for in price and availability. Granted I rarely see a movie on opening night any more, this place is great with their discounts on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and if the movie has been out for a bit, there is no worry about walking in right when it starts, you get to sit in an ideal spot. The only major con I can come up with is that the bathrooms are on the second level, so when you need to go to them during the middle of a great movie, you are having to book it up the stairs and back.

We saw Transformers in 3D the night it opened. Loved the flick. All the Employees were helpful, and courteous. And one issue, and of course this is a reflection on the Owners...the theater we watched the movie in had a Stench of a Serious NEED of thorough CLEANING. No Air Fresheners will cover this up...Clean And Recover the Seats. Get a Professional to do this, the Employees can maintain the floors, but the Stench is from years of not properly cleaning the Upholstery. We love this beautiful theater but it needs Good Cleaning and Maintenance.

Okay, this place is not "brand new, or high tech" but its the best bargain in town especially on tuesdays or thursdays - when prices jump down to $5 and $6. Tell me a theatre in town that does that! Concessions are super cheap too. I always go on tuesday nights and get in for $5, and candy and a coke for another $5. So $10 for the evening. Wow! Listen up San Diego, Poway, Escondido, and other areas - if your not going to this theatre to see any of the current movies out there - youre a fool.

Good but a little run down in seats.. Gone downhill since AMC bought it. -cups dont fit seat cupholders, popcorn has to be buttered by you at station along the side so cant easily be mixed in. And sodas are now self serve (I do like that-more flavors). Service isnt as friendly. Lines are very long and slow for popcorn/candy. Appears as though they cut staff down. Seats still old.
