Tonight, I attended the 7:30 showing of "The Hunger Games" with my husband and 2 children at the Krikorian Theater in San Clemente. It was my first experience at the theater and while I found the theaters to be nice, and most of the staff courteous, I was highly dismayed at the complete lack of control the staff displayed while the movie was playing. The theater was inundated with young teens who were highly disruptive and loud during the entire movie. It ruined our experience as we missed lines while the teens continued to chat and cheer the entire length of the movie. Not one time, did a staff member enter our theater (#3) to ask anyone to quiet down. Once the movie was over, I spoke to a young man who was the manager on staff. He told me that the theater was understaffed and hadnt expected the high turnout for the movie. If that was truly the case, then why were there lines and "parent helpers" outside to handle the massive amounts of people waiting? Id have to say bad planning, considering how much hype "The Hunger Games" has received in the last few months. When I told him that I would not be back to the theater, he said that he was sorry that he couldnt do anything, but that they had sent people on break and couldnt handle the load. I then responded that the planning was poor and that people dont go on break during peak times, his reply to me was "Well then youd be complaining that we couldnt serve you your drinks or snacks". Following his reply I can definitely say that I will never be back to any Krikorian Theater and will take my business to the Edwards theaters up the road. I am absolutely shocked that all I received were a bunch of excuses and a manager who obviously doesnt value the importance of excellent customer service.

The Kirkorian is the only local theater we have in San Clemente. Its convenient. Note that there are a lot of local youth who frequent this. They seem to like to talk and text during a movie. Just be mindful of this if you plan to see a movie that appeals to the youth. It is customary to clap along with the intro song -- just go with it. ;)

I am a huge fan of the Krikorian theaters...the clap along is always fun before a movie. If you havent experienced it you need to. But this theater is small and stadium seating is not that great. It is a bit of a dated theater but they make the experience good for me and my family when we are in this part of town.

It is as expected. Older theater showing current movies to local crowd. Easy hangout for local kids. Early/Matinee shows are usually close to empty. The sound system is outdated and some of the seats are less than pristine. It accepts my Moviepass card and my Krikorian card. Overall fine place to watch a movie.

At this theatre no one cares about you. The bathrooms are awful, They sell you a ticket which is never collected. Really, have been there many times and the could care less. If I was not honest I would not even pay for a ticket...poorly run.

Nice little theater. Definitely a local spot with the ritualistic clapping before every movie. The screen fabric had some distracting rips and bumps but I got over them as the movie progressed.

Parking was fine. There was a rip on the top of the screen that was sown shut. Sound quality was fine. Noisy kids and management never walked through. Snack Bar was just ok.

great seating and great size. Perfect for movie time with family and friends. Staff are so polite and serve you with what you need. :)

Tried watching Annabelle and highschool kids constantly making noise and talking. Basically ruined the movie.

The movie quality and sound quality has never been great here. It is usually pretty messy inside too.
