Alis store- Pros- Best selection in orange county on a good day. Crazy healthy corals (fish not so much but better than many) Clean store, well laid out with European theme- awesome! Cons- Lies to sell things. Ive heard him mislead customers NUMEROUS times as to the aggressive nature of acans and about the habits of fish. He is 100% there to make a profit. Beware and know what you need to know BEFORE you go. Very expensive- even for the high quality. Ali seems nice but hes got a shady side for sure... Its too bad Ive PERSONALLY had two experiences where he flat LIED to me about compatibility to make the sale- I always ask loaded questions to see if people are straight shooters. Ive been selling custom reefs for over 20 years and use his shop for show piece corals- just beware of the info you get... OVERALL- if you want an incredible coral hes got it, just make sure you KNOW ALL about it first and have the extra money hes going to charge. But sometimes its just worth the extra cheese! I will absolutly continue to go to his shop but I have a MUCH MUCH lower purchase ratio there- out of the last 4 times I only purchased one time. But as I said hes got rare birds and that one time he had an aussie scoly that was just awesome! Even with him being untrustworthy informationally speaking- I still give him 4 stars for the coral livestock health and the stores presentation- the best in OC.

I dont usually fill out these types of "reviews" unless I have had a really good or a really bad experience. Ali and his store definitely fall under the "good" category. He is as honest about what he knows and tells you what his experiences have led him to believe, and for a consumer, that is all you could possibly ask for. Be aware he usually carries a lot of expensive items.... but thats because they are frickin awesome!!!! Ive been reef keeping for about 5 years, and in this business you WILL run across people trying to rip you off. Ali is not one of them. On top of his honesty and good nature, he handpicks all of his livestock and in my opinion uses good judgment in discerning healthy fish or coral from the sick ones. I also buy my water from him because he takes pride in what he does. I have only nice things to say about Alis business and how he runs it! I highly recommend to anyone, novice or expert! Although, if you are not a lakers fan.... beware!!!!! I think he bleeds purple and gold :)

great store. clean, well maintained, and welcoming. all of the livestock is in great condition/health, there is a ton of variety and they pick up new things regularly. the owner is helpful and knowledgeable and never pushes merchendise with high pressure sales like other lfss around town. hes even gone as far as to not sell me things because he felt like they needed a bit more time to recover before being acclimated to another new place. amazing reefs is my new go to store for all of my needs, despite the fact that its about 40 minutes from my house.

I have been going here for about a year and have gotten great advise from Ali. He has helped me take my tank from a mess to a beautiful aquarium. The corals are top quality and priced competitively for the quality. I do shop at a couple of other fish stores for some things that he doesnt carry. When I ask questions his answers have consistently been right on. If I had found this store sooner I would have saved a lot of money from advise from people that just didnt know as much about their business. Great store, Ill be a loyal customer for a long time.

Best LFS in Orange County. Ive been to them all and most consist of algae ridden tanks with sickly livestock and B-rate coral selection. Enter Amazing Aquariums and Reefs... This place has the nicest tanks, unique and healthy corals and plenty of dry stock items. Upon entering, you can really tell Ali (owner) cares about what he does and is passionate about the well being of the animals. If you are looking for unique LPS (acans, welsos, anemones, etc...) then look no further. I cant rate this place high enough.

Very clean store. Ali only carries the best of the best, so if youre looking for damsels to start up your tank, go somewere else. Prices are high, but thats because everything he has is super-high-end stuff, but you can get anything from small frags to awesome giant acanthastrea. Kind of small, but he knows how to put a lot of inventory into a small space. Very minimal dry goods. Ali is also a very laid-back guy. Easy to talk to and buy from.

My wife and I were passing through town on vacation and stopped in to have a look today. The store lives up to its name, absolutely amazing! I am very sorry that the store does not ship. There were several corals I would have loved to add to my tank. Every tank in the store is well stocked with very healthy and vibrant corals and fish. This would be my "go to" store if I lived in the area.

Ali is very helpful and knowledgable and has the best corals in OC! He also has the best prices for very high quality coral and fish. You can tell his place is very high end and clean. He always gives my gf and I great deals. I would recommend everyone to here.

Worth the trip! Whenever Im in LA I always bring a cooler and stop by this place. Even if I cant buy anything its a store worth visiting just for the colors and fish. Ali and his staff take great care of everything and it really shows.

This aquarium is very small. I managed to see the whole thing in under 30 mins, and I walked extremely slow. Regardless, it was still nice to see different types of sea life. I just wished it was more sea stuff to see.

We love coming here for quality marine fish and corals. A definite stop for us addicted reefers in O.C. Its not the typical set up for a fish store, which is why we like it soo much. Very unique and original for sure!
