Seems like all of the other reviews were based on the bands they saw and not the venue itself. I am here to give an honest review about this place. Terrible. If I had to use one word to explain this place, it would be the word terrible. The staff was incredibly rude the entire event. Security was nowhere to be seen. Well, actually, let me rephrase. The guards were hanging out outside while the crowd needed to be managed. The sound was comically horrible. I thought it was a joke. Judging by their gear, it cannot be easy to get a great sound, especially in that room, so I will leave the sound engineer out of this. The gear though, appears to have been purchased off of eBay as its pretty ghetto. I would not return to this venue, even if my favorite of all bands was playing a free show.

In depth review! 0 organization! Stage is falling apart and appears to be asbestos tiles(Needs to be tested!). Duct taped sink in mens room. Vinyl floor in main area bubbling and cracking. Very rude man with bad attitude checking ID in drinking area. Audio equipment was ok. Lighting was ok. Would be a great place with some normal upkeep and repairs. I spotted 3 code violations while I was there and its really a shame the owners let it get this bad. Got in contact with the band that I saw and requested them to play somewhere else next time they come thru Tucson. They acknowledged my request!

I do not want to go offon a long rant so I am going to put it simple The Rock sucks has a bunch of white trash fat dirty guys that are a guest supposed to be some kind of bouncers staff rip me off of $126as a bunch of white trash regulars one of which would not shut up about how he could not smoke weed there even though he had a cannabis card it was a crappy place never going back never taking any of my friends there and will never recommend it which is disappointing because I heard a lot of good music used to be played there and was expecting it to be my kind of atmosphere

This place is not what I expected but in a great way! Its a smaller local venue for live music. The show I went to was all ages so they have the place separated for 21+ patrons, even with the division theres not a bad spot in the place. You can clearly see the stage from almost anywhere l, bar service was super fast and they have a nice outside area for smokers. They also had a BBQ going outside as well with delicious food. Security here is also very tight, I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a great time and still be/feel safe for all ages!

I will never go to this venue again. They promote sexual harassment. We had two guys try to stick their hands in places where they dont belong so we moved to the back of the venue. The security kicked us out for a fight we were no where near and told us the cops were coming for us. I explained we were getting almost raped and the woman security guard told me it was not her problem and to get off the property. The rock promotes sexual harassment i will never go back!

Great place, great music and awesome people! I have fun whenever I go to The Rock, especially when Head P.E. came to town, the best concerts in Tucson happen at the Rock. Sound techs are great at what they do too. I love being so close to the bands when they play, I really get into the music. Thanks for bring such a kick ass place to let out some steam or pent up energy. #therockintucsonrules

I lived right near here in the early 90s and it was great local dive bar that had awesome punk bands play there; ie i saw Social Distortion there and the band hung out with the crowd.

Saw Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness here a few nights ago. Great place. Small, security were relaxed and friendly, and youre never more than a few feet from the stage. Good spot.
