I bought my wife and her friend a VIP ticket to the recent Kane Brown concert - It wasnt overly expensive as you would think a VIP would be so I just jumped at it and it also helps if your wife loves this guy! So whatever i bought them - they went early as the emails I got told them 430 pm be in front of the ticket booth for the people to take you in early. VIP tickets said that they would get good seats during the whole concert. So they did the meet and greet, photos, Q & As, and then the show began where they were in front basically a great view!. Well not long into the show Security Guards kicked my wife and friend out and the only reason they could give is that they were throwing drinks at other people. ???? so the show she has been waiting for since december she decided to throw drinks and get kicked out.... no she didnt throw a thing and neither did her friend, the only thing my wife bought that night as a drink was a water bottle which she still had when she came home. They were just standing outside wondering what the F just happened and sobbing and sh was crazy. Then come to find out the weird security staff lets them back in and tells them the only way to come back in is to be in the back of the venue and to take their hats off. ???? who runs this place? Oh yah, its Jeff, the district manager. yes I called him the next day. He said he had heard that someone pointed my wife and friend out as the informers of throwing but would have to look at the video to find out further....well last week I called and he said his video guy was out of town ( I dont know what that meant) and he said he would get back to me the next day after viewing the video. nothing...so I called this week actually just got off the phone with this guy. He totally said that his head of security was going to call me back and let me know what was going on last week and apologized and said that he wanted to get to the bottom of this. I told him hey jeff, thats what you told me two weeks ago buddy, listen you can get a hold of your head of security, and tell him to call me, but to be honest Jeff your lucky my wife got to see kane brown and meet him before the show otherwise it would be a different problem, but I know one thing jeff, I will not return to your establishment, and after reading all the bad reviews on google about the security staff and how rude they are then you might want to rethink your position as district manager.

Livewire is a decent venue, with decent acoustics. After the experience we had at a show the other night, I will not be returning. Livewire provides mediocre, overpriced service from servers who wear 80s style Hooters shorts, and forget their whole purpose- to provide service. While attending a show, my boyfriend was approached, as we were just standing there, and told he had to leave, due to intoxication. There were no fights, no puking, no insults, nothing. When asked what he did wrong, the security guard could only provide the answer, hes intoxicated. Just a simple, I dont have the balls to answer you, hes intoxicated. Our money was not refunded- as we only saw 2 songs of the band- and no real justification was given, just a half assed, do as I say answer. Livewire should employ security staff who knows the difference between someone having a good time and intoxication. Not a rent a cop with an attitude. I have to say, Ive never been treated like that at another concert venue, and if I was Im sure it was warranted. As someone who was in the service industry for 15 years, and taken several liquor certifications, you tend to know the level a patron needs to reach before being ejected from a venue due to intoxication. Not one person in our group was at that level. Livewire, your service lacks, your drinks are watered down and overpriced, and served by mediocre at best Hooters girls. Livewire should accept the fact that it is a concert venue, and not everyone who enters your doors, is going to look or act a certain way. As someone who has spent money in your establishment many times, it is true that Livewire is ONLY another typical, cliche, Old Town bar. There is nothing special that sets Livewire apart, not even your fancy balcony, were the service only gets worse.

Horrible. Thats the first word that comes to mind when I think of this place. I arrived to the show an hour early so that I could be closer to the stage. After waiting for an hour live wire security/employees decide to break up the line (Im guessing because it was too long). They took the people that were towards the back of the line and started a new line with them at the front. So people who came last minute were able to be one of the first people into the venue. Lets just say this pissed of a ton of people. Then while inside we ended up waiting two hours for the opening act and an extra half hour for the main act. On top of that the security there were completely unprofessional. They were busy chatting with eachother instead of actually doing their jobs. One security guard even led a group of girls through the crowd toward the front so they could be closer to the stage. If you want to see any of your favorite artists in concert, I wouldnt recommend watching them here.

The cocktails/mixed drinks are overpriced (seriously just get bottled or canned beer if you are one to complain about watered down drinks) but then again you are in Scottsdale where everything is overpriced so quit complaining. Besides that, this venue is very clean (the bathrooms even have attendants) and the sound here is top notch. There is not a venue in Phoenix with better sound. Ive seen 4 shows here over the past year (Failure, Brian Culbertson, the Faint, the English Beat) and at all of them, the sound was as close to perfect in a live setting as possible. While I much prefer to see a band at Crescent Ballroom, mainly because of food/drink, size and location, Livewire is a great place to see live music. Yeah, you might have to deal with some annoyances typical of Scottsdale (overpriced drinks, brown biscuits, and spikey mikeys), but if you care about the music above all else, you should leave Livewire happy.

The staff are so rude. They do not care about the customers at all. I asked if I could get the setlist, which was in front of the stage crew and all of them would ignore me and say "no", or "i wanna go home, no." Even another staff member from livewire said "they dont care. I cant do anything about it. I want to go home already." How is a fan, who paid for the event, not even able to ask for the set list? I have been to many venues and festivals and no stage staff have EVER been this rude! And I was not the only one who was treated badly, many other people were treated like dirt when asking questions about the event. Beautiful venue but bad people with attitude run the place. I will never go there even if I love the artist. I would just wait till your favorite artist goes to another venue.
